Jerome Rordigues, media figure in the Yellow Vests movement, says he's permanently lost use of one eye after being shot by a police "flash bang" round January 26th during a Yellow Vests protest in Paris.
Rodrigues was making a video of the protest and trying to keep the peace when he was suddenly hit by a police round.....

You realize that there were several wars fought there, and the “tragic boating accident” idea came from there, right? The place was literally swimming in guns a few decades ago.
Believe it or not, there are quite a fair number of privately owned firearms in France.
One of my co-workers just bought his maman a 0.38 spl wheelgun. No problem for him or her.
