Marc Thiessen confirms in the Washington Post:
“…the Clinton campaign proactively sought dirt on Trump from Russian government sources. They did it through cutouts. In April 2016, Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias retained opposition research firm Fusion GPS to compile incriminating information on Trump. Fusion GPS in turn hired Christopher Steele, a former British MI6 operative with sources among Russian government officials. The result was the salacious dossier, whose sources included “a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure” and “a former top level intelligence officer still active in the Kremlin.” Steele’s work was paid for by Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee. That means a paid agent of the Clinton campaign approached Russian officials for damaging material on Trump.”

Gotta be a little bit careful here. The Marc Thiessen WaPo piece is from August 2018.
The gist of the BLP article seems to be that they’ve got new info that reinforces the notion that the Trump Tower meeting was a setup. Apparently that Valnatskaya lawyer lady is acting like she’s willing to divulge some details about how the meeting came about — details that would be inconvenient for the deep staters. As a result they currently are trying to keep her out of the country.

We’ll see more of this matter of fact reporting on Democrat collusion with Russia because the Dems are now confident it will never be investigated by the DOJ.
Sure thing, and a spelling correction — it’s Veselnitskaya. She’s important because she can confirm that Fusion GPS was a player in setting up the Trump Tower meeting, which GPS has denied.
