Well I suppose I misread the headline - but its almost an accurate statement (they actually are an unPaid agent of the Clinton campaign - they provide their service au gratis).
Wait, what? isn’t that collusion? Quick, someone tell mueller.
the Clinton campaign proactively sought dirt on Trump from Russian government sources."
In the Washington Post?
That's a Boom.
Bezos is going to have somebody’s head for running this!
Clinton crony collusion with Ruskies.
Stalinists lie. ALWAYS
The only thing new about this is that it appears in the WP under one of their columnists, Marc Thiessen’s, by line. Until the corrupt FBI/DOJ is cleansed of Clinton/Obama supporters the perpetrators and their accomplices in the legacy media will continue to cover their asses by pointing the finger at the Trump campaign to distract the general public.
BTT
I must have had too much tea. Am I seeing this correctly? From the WPost?
wonder if they know something is coming and they are trying to get out in front of it.
This is only news for people that breathe sand.
Mystery solved? Timeline shows how Russian lawyer got into US for Trump Jr. meeting (07/14/2017)
Ms. Veselnitskaya was subsequently paroled into the U.S. several times between 2015 and 2016, ending in February 2016. In June 2016, she was issued a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa by the U.S. Department of State, a DHS spokesperson told Fox News Thursday night.
DHS officials also said that it was their agency in concurrence with the U.S. Attorney's Office of Southern District of New York which paroled Veselnitskaya into the U.S. Fox News confirmed through court documents that Veselnitskaya initially applied for a visa to enter the United States, but was denied.
Preet Bharara was the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York at the time the parole was granted. Veselnitskaya was issued a Significant Public Benefit Parole document on Sept. 25, 2015, according to DHS, which expired on Jan. 7, 2016. Veselnitskaya requested an extension to continue her work on the case, but the Southern District of New Yorks attorneys office denied her request.
She was not granted a second parole by our office, SDNY spokesman James Margolin told Fox news in an email. Her case-related immigration parole ended early in 2016, and it was not renewed by us.
The U.S. attorneys office told Fox News on Thursday that Veselnitskaya was indeed granted initial parole by their office, but did not know who, specifically, issued the piece of paper.
Somebody said that her visa or passport to come into the country was approved by Attorney General Lynch, now maybe thats wrong, I just heard that a little while ago [that] she was here because of Lynch, Trump said at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday in Paris.
Prior to DHS pointing fingers at the Department of State, a State spokesperson told Fox News that they had no further information to provide. The State Department told Fox News Wednesday that the Department is prohibited by the Immigration and Nationality Act from discussing individual visa cases, and told Fox News that all visa applications are adjudicated on a case-by-case basis.
The State Department did not respond to Fox News request to confirm that they issued Veselnitskaya a B1/B2 non-immigrant visa, or comment on Veselnitskayas current immigration status.

Veselnitskaya only mentioned dirt on Hillary as a rouse to get the Trump campaign to meet with her regarding the Magnitsky scheme. Fusion GPS, Brennan and Comey were trying to set Trump up to commit a serious crime related to Russia but they were unsuccessful. After Trump was elected they dug through all of their attempts to find something useful and realized they could spin several setup meetings with Trump Campaign officials as somehow being related to hacked emails. This is proven by the fact that all the meetings were conducted by people associated with the CIA (Halper and Mifsud) and the FBI (Fusion GPS and Henry Greenburg). It is also proven by the fact that the FISA warrants obtained by the FBI never had any mention of Hacked emails.
FBI sources statement concludes
Roger Stone was also targeted by one of these set-up plays.
Stones lawyer Grant Smith wrote the following in a letter to Rep. Devin Nunes: By way of example, as you know, back in June I sent this Committee a letter regarding a longtime FBI informant named Gennadiy Vasilievich Vostretsov who, under the alias Henry Greenberg, was sent to approach my client in May 2016 with claims of having access to information that could impact the election. Mr. Stone not only immediately and forcefully declined to participate in anything this FBI informant was proposing, but never saw or spoke to the informant again. Mr. Stone believes it highly likely that Mr. Vostretsov/Greenbergs status as an FBI informant was not former, and that Vostretsov/Greenberg was, in fact, actively working on behalf of the FBI at the time of their meeting, acting upon a calculated effort to entrap Mr. Stone and, further, to infiltrate and compromise the Trump effort. Notably, Vostretsov was admitted to the country nine separate times on an FBI Informants visa.
The Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya who set up Don Trump Jr. for a meeting in Trump Tower as part of a Fusion GPS plot was operating out of the Washington offices of Cozen OConnor, a law firm run by an anti-Trump former Obama administration official whose super PAC donated to Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush in the 2016 presidential election.
Veselnitskayas work from the Cozen OConnor office provides more evidence of a Democrat and establishment Republican effort to set up the Trump campaign for a future Russian collusion case. Veselnitskaya was allowed into the United States by the Obama Department of Justice while the former Obama official who runs Cozen OConnor publicly warned then-candidate Trump that if he became president he would be investigated by the DOJ for contacts with foreign leaders. Veselnitskaya reportedly had dinner meetings with Fusion GPS chief Glenn Simpson the day before she met in Trump Tower and also the day after she went inside Trump Tower.
Big League Politics has confirmed that a Cozen OConnor partner who lives in the same apartment building as James Comeys friend Daniel Richman who leaked classified information to the press on Comeys behalf spoke with Richman during the period that Comey and the Fusion GPS team were trying to obtain FISA warrants on Trump Tower.
Could it be that the Post has realized theres all sorts of interesting things to be learned about Democrats? News outlets could actually hire back some of the off reporters if theyd cover all the news, rather than just half. Still, Ill believe it when I see it
"Cozen OConnor managing partner Howard Schweitzer is listed here on a DOJ form from an investigation into the breaking of lobbying laws by Russians trying to repeal the Magnitsky Act which was just a front to get Russians in the room with Don Jr. We know now that Natalia Veselnitskaya was actually operating out of the Cozen OConnor offices. Schweitzer worked as general counsel for the Export-Import Bank under George W. Bush and was chief operating officer of the TARP bailout program under both Bush and Obama from 2008-2009. In October 2008, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson appointed Howard as the first COO of TARP. In this position, Howard led program execution and built the TARP infrastructure. He served as a key point person regarding the financial crisis through the presidential transition and continued to serve as TARP COO under Secretary Timothy Geithner until August 2009, reads Schweitzers Cozen OConnor bio. He served as chief operating officer of the TARP in the George W. Bush and Obama administrations, reads Schweitzers bio for a Politico piece he wrote in August 2016 headlined 7 Reasons Why Trump Would Hate Being President. Schweitzers virulently anti-Trump piece for Politico tries to make the case that Trump was sabotaging his own bid for the White House. Schweitzer said that if Trump became president then Hell be investigated to death by Congress and the Justice Department for his business dealings and relationships with foreign leaders."

Gotta be a little bit careful here. The Marc Thiessen WaPo piece is from August 2018.
The gist of the BLP article seems to be that they’ve got new info that reinforces the notion that the Trump Tower meeting was a setup. Apparently that Valnatskaya lawyer lady is acting like she’s willing to divulge some details about how the meeting came about — details that would be inconvenient for the deep staters. As a result they currently are trying to keep her out of the country.
All of this is a continuation of what Marc Thiessen reported in his earlier WaPo piece(s).
Or at least that’s my read after scanning through quickly.
Not a chance. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that WaPo was forced to run with this because it was about to leak out somewhere else.
Thanks for the further illumination.
