I trust Trump, he is honorably dealing with the Dems. As long as they offered to deal if the government was reopened, it is not an emergency. Ball is in Traitors court now, and Trump taking the higher ground, means he can just say tighten the deal, then call an emergency if the Dems do not co-operate.

I’m very disappointed at how many FReepers are making disparaging comments on Trump’s decision as he is trying to get Congress to pass the proper legislation, instead of him exercising his legal authority to bypass them and order the national emergency that includes the barrier to be built.
