(COMMENTARY)
Nigel Farage was explaining to a caller yesterday that 95 percent of British businesses don't do business with the EU.
His statement of fact reminds us that the "little people" mean nothing in this debate.
As "Mr. Brexit" has often explained, we have a corporatist system of government in the nations of the world where big banks, big business and big government are one.
Its been almost 80 years since a British Prime Minister waved a piece of paper with the cameras rolling and even televising to a small audience with the BBC's Richard Dimbleby (David Dimbleby's father) announcing the event.
Neville Chamberlain spoke of "peace in our time" waving a piece of paper that meant nothing and now 80 years later Theresa May claims to be giving her people in essence "Brexit in our time" with control of the borders and fisheries etc. etc. using a 585 page document that contradicts her words.
Peter Hitchens recently posted a story told on a train purportedly by Neville Chamberlain's private secretary and future Prime Minister Sir Alec Douglas Home that Mr. Chamberlain got back to Number 10 that day in 1938 and told his cabinet to "get ready for war". He knew the truth about Hitler but signed the paper to give his country time to build up its military.
Does Theresa May know the truth here, too?
If she does the truth is simply this, that big banks and big business operate best without sovereign national borders getting in the way.
If that story about Neville Chamberlain is true, at least he took action in the face of the truth he wasn't willing to admit publicly. Theresa May seems determined to live a lie today.
Its as if there was a referendum held where people voted against holding manure bags and the political leadership told the people they will not have to hold the manure bags anymore, but the new law says they will hold "compost bags" instead.
(EDITED TUESDAY AM)
There's a great commentator on youtube named Pat Condell who posts many short videos on the Religion of Pieces and European politics. He's a Brit who's intelligent, articulate and fearless. He once posted a video on the European Union in which he said "the European Union is very popular with politicians because it's been very good to politicians".
With that comment he perfectly summed up Britain's dilemma today.
NIGEL Farage predicts there will be a much bigger vote to leave the EU in the case of a second referendum on Brexit, as voters will want to teach a lesson to politicians. He's got a bit more Churchill than you!
If the Brits want to surrender to the EU, who are we to stop them.
One thing is certain though, Mays bad deal will go down in flames
in a vote today.
Theresa May is going to betray her country to the EUSSR.
Just wait and see.
