The young girls wearing these were not around when the hillbilly trend occurred. What was it? The 60’s? 70’s? I remember it too and I’ve been surprised. I had a couple of very sophisticated girls 18 and 19 in to explain their grandfather’s estate plan to them and they were both wearing them. They were off to NYC for Xmas shopping the next day. Definitely not hillbillies.
