Fox was always a business and presented itself as Conservative because the rest of the media left a hole in news coverage and commentary, giving someone - Fox - a hole to fill to gain market share. But it always was business.
Murdoch’s sons are not conservative at all, and they are now running the Newscorp empire.
They have taken WSJ from the only national conservative newspaper, to a paper that tends closer and closer to the NYTimes, politically, day by day on all but the OpEd page - which is still under editortial control by the prior owners (due to agreements made with Newscorp when Dow Jones was sold to them).
Fox is a hole for sure.
