Goodlatte: House Leadership Blocked Trump-Backed Immigration Reform

The House GOP leadership is responsible for blocking a pro-American immigration reform package which was backed by President Donald Trump, a top House chairman said Tuesday. The GOP leadership let the House immigration reform die in June by allowing a critical bloc of GOP legislators to split their votes between two rival reform bills, said Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the retiring chairman of the House committee on the judiciary.

“The strategy of having two options really let people have an off-ramp — they could vote for the more conservative bill and against the other, or vote for the second bill and not the first,” Goodlatte said,

Not just the leadership. The congressional rinos and neverTrumpers went for McCarthy over Jordan by a vote of 159 to 43.

We have NO REPRESENTATION in D.C. save Trump.

The only thing worse than losing the house was hearing about this. The GOP HAS LEARNED NOTHING.

Just can't see myself voting GOP after Trump. I just will lose interest.

[Dirtbag McCarthy had the nerve to run for speaker (now minority leader) on a phony “build the wall” bill.]

Another member of the “Corporate Party”. They’ll work with the Democrats this coming Congress to keep the border wide open.

Lunacy is doing the same thing over and over yet expecting different results.

GOP had a group of moderates, some from CA who have now lost their seats, forcing a vote on a more moderate immigration bill. Those moderates from CA actually believed that D congressmen who had signed onto the petition to force the vote would vote for their bill. When push came to shove, the Ds bailed.

I’m sad we lost those seats, ie., Jeff Denham, but did they really think the Ds were going to vote with them?

Somebody already has a video of the Caravan girl who bitched about being fed “pig food” eating real food in a Dallas restaurant.

And there is McCarthy heading up a new leadership team that includes the spawn of Dick Cheney.

Meet the new scum boss, same as the old scum boss.

Republican House Reps are happier and more comfortable being the minority.

McCarthy will prove to be the 21st Century equivalent of Bob Michael, another failed minority leader who occupied the office for far too long.

Unlike Bob Michael, who was just a jolly idiot, Ryan is a calculating, underhanded snake.

McCarthy might prove to be a combination of both.

Paul Ryan has always been part of the opposition to immigration control and national sovereignty, just as was John Boehner.

Question: What real action will Kevin McCarthy take to advance Trump’s immigration policies, both in the lame duck session and thereafter?

And there you go.

The Uniparty in aKKKtion.

Gee, I can't figure out why 40 House "Republicans" retired when we were in the ascendancy.

And why Paul RINO didn't ring any warning bells about Carolinafornia ballot harvesting BEFORE the eleKKKtion.

And why all the Trump judges are stalled in the pipeline.

It's not because everyone in Thievington, District of Corruption is in the same political party, is it?

So, tell me again why the loss of the House to the communists will hurt the President’s major agendas (SCOTUS and migrant invasion)?
