Polling is to influence public opinion, not measure public opinion. I think Trump’s real approval is north of 50%, but the MSM can’t report that. “Polls” are manipulated to ensure sub-50% approval.
Loss of the House was a blow but the gains in the Senate give Trump a firewall and ensure all important judicial and executive nominations will be easy confirmed.
Plus GOP governors friendly to Trump will control the election machinery in critical OH and FL in 2020.
Too soon to count him down and out.
“Hogwash”......Trump controls the Executive, Senate & Judiciary Branches. The house will be in constant turmoil while Nancy Pelosi sits there and does & accomplishes nothing as the Democrat nutcases jump off and over the cliff!!!
Read my lips Liberal, Democrats....you have no power whatsoever. Trump played the game correctly and protected the Senate, Game over Democrats!!!
Democrat Losses caused by POTUS, Trump: Beto O’Rourke, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams, Claire McCaskill, Joe Donnelly, Heidi Heitkamp, Bill Nelson, etc.
POTUS Trump Victories: Ted Cruz, Mike Braun, Josh Hawley, Kevin Cramer, Marsha Blackburn, Ron DeSantis, Mike Wine, Rick Scott, Doug Ducey, Brian Kemp, Henry McMaster, Bill Lee, Gregg Abbott, Cindy Hyde-Smith, etc.
POTUS, Trump knew how & where to spend his campaign time!!! Obama, Clinton, Biden, & Oprah Winfrey did not have a clue...losers all of them. Their collective and individual touch was the “Kiss Of Political Death!!!
Ya best get with program of reality, “Hill” cause your hogwash, “fake news” buffoonery just ain’t gonna cut it!!! Trumpy Rules!!!
For a while I thought the same as you with respect to Trump polling over 50 percent (such as the Rass Poll showing approval at 51 percent).
The election day polls showed Trump getting around 44 percent approval overall and it definitely showed up in the Congressional seat totals.
Therefore, I fully believe his overall polling is around 44 percent and no better.
You might not like that but that is how the overall population who votes feels right now.
I think Trump has a lot going for him on the policy front but he needs to continue to punch back in a more professional way. He is learning but there are times where he still falls back and says stuff where he really should not.
Just my thoughts.
Funny how Gallup, cited here, doesn’t cross 50% for Trump while Rasmussen DOES top 50% job approval for Trump.
