Irans president Hassan Rouhani said on Monday that the country will continue to export oil despite fresh U.S. sanctions, which he described as psychological war doomed to failure.
We will not yield to this pressure which is part of the psychological war launched against Iran, he said on state TV. They have failed to stop our oil exports. We will keep exporting it ... Your regional policies have failed and you blame Iran for that failure from Afghanistan to Yemen and Syria, he added, to chants of Death to America!. Rouhani also said that the U.S. lacked international support for its sanctions against Iran.
America is isolated now. Iran is supported by many countries. Except for the Zionist regime (Israel) and some countries in the region, no other country backs Americas pressure on Iran, he said.
Though Rouhani is right that other countries have not supported fresh U.S. sanctions against his country, he is also failing to address that EU support, strongest in the early days after President Trump announced impending sanctions in May, lost steam as Tehran demanded more than the EU, as either a body, or individually, could give. Iran also hurts its case with most EU members last month when Danish authorities accused Iranian agents of attempting to carry out a plot to assassinate an Iranian-Arab opposition figure on Danish soil.

That may be true, but I bet Iran isn’t getting top dollar for their crude.................
Thanks for telling us! We’ll work on that.
That and there are no more jumbo jets landing with pallet full of taxpayer dollars . . . and no Val-Jay giving orders in the White House.
“...but I bet Iran isnt getting top dollar for their crude.....”
Yep and more buyers of their crude will take advantage of the situation and milk them good....Iran will not win this....
“We don’t believe you. Prove it! Who is buying your oil?”
Kind of ironic that, not long ago, Trump said he had not totally squashed Iran’s oil business because he didn’t want to unnecessarily raise oil prices....are they begging to have him throttle their main remaining source of income and really get their people going wild in the streets?
Basically the US chickened out and issued waivers to allow Iran to continue exporting. Hard to remember now, but a month ago there were worries about prices spiking to the upside.
China & India, 2 biggest customers of Iran’s oil are allowed to buy their oil.
Like I have said many times, we spend Trillions in middle-east wars to protect oil flow to China using borrowed money from China. So glad Trump recognizes this foolishness, while the previous presidents did not.
You are correct. If China & India were forced to substitute oil purchases from Iran from the open oil market, prices would have taken quantum leap upwards.
If the bottom hasn’t fallen out of the oil market, it soon will.
That’s by design. Trump said he would clamlp down slowly so as not to shock the market. Your sh%t storm is coming pal.
