Imagine how people felt in the middle of the Civil War about the future of the nation. Imagine how they felt in the middle of World War II about the future of freedom in the world. Imagine how people feel in 1957 when Russia launched Sputnik beating American into space and Communism was sweeping the planet. America can reclaim its future and gets its house in order. May I add to your list the open socialism in the early 1900’s? Teddy R making a failed prez bid as a progressive. In the 30’s socialism had quite a grasp where collective communities actually existed in the US. It took WWII to turn all of this around as well as the Cold War.
We’ve succeeded in turning things around several times, just give Trump a chance. He’s not an idiot. He’s an excellent strategist and pure American.
