Just over an hour after CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta had his White House credentials suspended in light of his latest act of showboating, AC360 gave him a heros welcome while CNN argued in a statement that this unprecedented decision is a threat to our democracy while Acosta asserted that theyre trying to to shut us down.
Host Anderson Cooper welcomed Acosta on as the two sat inside CNNs D.C. bureau and so Acosta first gave his account of when he tried to return to the White House grounds for a live shot slated for this same program.

Acosta explained that the Secret Service came out and informed me that my press credentials were being, I guess, revoked temporarily, suspended, and the Secret Service officer came over to me and asked me to hand over my credential that he had held for five years.
With a smirk of contentment on Acostas face, Cooper then read through tweets from The New York Timess Peter Baker and Maggie Haberman plus Reuterss Jeff Mason and then this sanctimonious statement from CNN:
The White House announced tonight that it has revoked the press pass of CNNs White House chief correspondent Jim Acosta. It was done in retaliation for his challenging questions at today's press conference. In an explanation, Press Secretary Sanders lied. She provided fraudulent accusations and cited an incident that never happened. This unprecedented decision is a threat to our democracy and the country deserves better. Jim Acosta has our full support....

A win-win.
cue up the “boo hoo girl”
AT&T owns CNN. They must approve of such behavior. The advertisers must not care either. They must be making money.
Told you that Acosta was doing exactly what CNN wanted him to do - of course they’ll give him a hero’s welcome.
CNN should have fired him.
Then again CNN shouldn’t be on the air.

Wow. Almost every single word of that is a blatant lie.
CNN deserves to have ALL of their press credentials pulled - not just that cry-baby narcissist Acosta.
Since CNN is defending Acosta’s criminal behavior, it follows that anyone else they would assign to that role will behave the same.
CNN shouldn’t be getting any press passes at all from here on in. Let them report from outside the building.
CNN lying in the face of video evidence to the contrary. That is how far the media has sunk.
If CNN didn’t have Trump they would be out of business
Acosta was trying to shut Trump down ... along with all the other reporters that had questions. There’s no respect from the media anymore.
“The New York Timess Peter Baker and Maggie Haberman”
Hey Maggie, so you’re okay with jim shoving a young intern woman just trying to do her job? Well why not they didn’t mind when Clinton turned one into a sex toy so there you go.
CNN supports assault and battery. They should be off the air.
If I were the White House, I would say the following:
Dear CNN,
You are free to send anyone you want to the White House and we will be happy to give em a press pass. Anyone, that is, except Jim the Accoster.
Love,
Us
No. They're trying to teach you some manners.
“Theyre Trying to...Shut Us Down”
You don’t need our help with that.
The Airport Channel is on Deathwatch.
Well now, will CNN give the intern a chance to “be heard” like they did with Ford? Is the #webelieveher thing over now?
Haven’t you heard, that video was doctored. That is the current defense.
It was rumored that Anderson Pooper called Acosta to his private office for a full de’briefing’. /S
