The media is more focused on whether the shirt was appropriate rather than the violent mob beating.
On Friday, numerous Kenwood High School students in Baltimore, Maryland physically attacked a fellow classmate for wearing a shirt with a Confederate flag on it, students say. A video of the apparent brawl, wherein multiple students are seen assaulting a classmate as a teacher unsuccessfully tries to break up the mayhem, has since made the rounds on social media.

Yeah, like a white kid needs to display a confederate flag to get violently attacked in a public school. Sending your white child to a majority (or even significantly) black school is child abuse.
The mob was lawless and should be charged with assault; but the kid was a fool to wear that shirt.

Agree 100%. What kind of parent let’s their kid wear that to school? It doesn’t matter how you feel about the symbol — you’re asking people to beat up your kid. In today’s world, that’s exactly what you should expect. Reality: deal with it.

Back in the day, some hippies used the Confederate flag as a sign of non-conformity and rebellion; nobody called them racists or accused them of wanting to bring back slavery.

Kind of like wearing a MAGA hat to school? There’s items I don’t agree with people wearing, but it is a form of speech and hitting someone because you disagree with them is absolutely wrong. I despise people burning the flag, but idiots are allowed to be idiots. I simply speak out against, I don’t sucker punch them.

Remember that movie where the bad guy made Bruce Willis go to Harlem and wear a sign with the N-word on it and he got his ass kicked? This is the real-life version of that, and just as stupid.
