Senate Democrats accepted an offer Thursday from Senate Republicans to confirm 15 lifetime federal judges in exchange for the ability to go into recess through the midterms, allowing endangered Democrats to campaign.
Some liberal activists are urging Democrats to show more fight after Brett Kavanaughs confirmation to the Supreme Court; Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos even said that Democrats need a new Senate leader after the agreement was struck.

He sold recess for 15???
He should have held out for AT LEAST 35
More winning for the evil Trump and his Deploreables/us!
CANCEL THE RECESS ANYWAY!
Or while they are away, Trump should make a number of recess appointments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
only 15?
Need to restock my cabinet of winnamins....
15 now, another 25 to however many we need, while they’re in recess and not looking!
*SMIRK*
“Trump should make a number of recess appointments”
Bingo, time for a new AG (and some new deputies).
I thought the President wanted 40 confirmed, no?
These people get paid to work, not take early vacations like public school teachers. Plus they get significant perks.
No recess!
Aren’t there like 120 vacancies?..................
LOL - we’re getting so use to winning we’re getting picky... 15 is wonderful...
Im ok with this! The deranged Rat mob is apopletic. I hope this helps depress and suppress the Rat turnout on election day.
Just now adjourned the Senate at 12:00 Friday
Got a pen? And a phone?
This speaks volumes to the blue wave fantasy!
I’m thinking that Mitch should have delayed and delayed and delayed. Do a recess 3 days before the election - because in any event, we have a majority now, and we will have a bigger majority later (particularly if the recess is delayed). I really think that this was a tactical error on his part - even though he didn’t give it away. I am glad that we got the 15 judges, but we’d have gotten them ANYWAY.
President Trump is a quick learner on political deals.
He is likely to become one of the greatest presidents, ever.
If he keeps the House and makes gains in the Senate, we have the beginnings of a restoring of the American Republic to rival the FDR Progressive revolution.
The base will have to help him keep the House for this to happen.
How about 41 Judges? Would that please you?

Fresh off Kavanaugh win, Republicans aim to confirm more than 40 judges before midterms

With the Supreme Court nomination of Brett M. Kavanaugh completed, GOP senators are quickly pivoting to filling out the rest of the federal courts, eyeing more than 40 district and circuit judges they want to confirm before the end of the year.
One top priority is filling the seat left vacant on the powerful D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals when Justice Kavanaugh was elevated.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley, Republicans point man on the issue, said if the White House can nominate someone this week, lawmakers could have Justice Kavanaughs replacement seated by Christmas.
That would be in addition to 38 district judges and three circuit judges already pending on the Senate floor, who Republicans say they should confirm before they leave Washington to campaign for the mid-term elections.
McConnell ought to keep the Senate in session until we get all 41 of those judges done, Mr. Grassley told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt Wednesday.
From my perspective anyone bitching about Trump don't deserve Trump. Most are likely motivated to bitch and complain because their posers and frauds. And it's generally the same individuals who do this repeatedly.
Markos Moulitsas is just another anchor baby pretending to be an American citizen. Like so many on the left who shouldn’t even be here.
The problem with America (USA) is that there aren’t enough Americans anymore. We are being systematically replaced by millions of third world Morlocks, who come here and immediately feel entitled to force socialism on everyone else.
