Im responding to David Whites letter: Well done! Delightful letter! Im so glad to hear from a kindred spirit.
In January 2015, I had one of my prophetic dreams: Donald Trump would be our next president. When I related it to my husband, he laughed and said, Why would Donald Trump care about people like us? Evidently he really did.
On election night, after assuring my husband that Pennsylvania would go for Trump (I grew up in a small town north of Harrisburg so I knew my people), I went off to bed.
Less than 15 minutes later, David came to our bedroom door and asked if I was still awake. When I replied yes, he said, Pennsylvania went for Trump.
I leapt out of bed like a kid on Christmas morning. I was 72 years old, but I was dancing like a teenager at a rave.
What glee! What joy! My dream was vindicated. As the night wore on, I chortled as the victory party attendees wept. This wasnt supposed to happen.
Yes, we can revel in our victory. It is such fun to watch those losers wallow in their misery, gnashing their teeth in their hatred.
Guess what? Theres more to come we have the midterm election to look forward to, when we will hold the House and Senate. Wanna celebrate?
Julia K. Chapman, Magalia
We had better hold the House and the Senate. From her prayers to God’s ears!
Never thought I’d say this but I’d like to buy Lindsey Graham a beer!
The democrats seriously overplayed their hand this time, enough so that Graham just couldn’t stand it anymore and said what WE think and say every day. He’s had a remarkable turnaround ever since McCain shuffled off his mortal coil.
It’s about time.
Starting to look like McCain was the instigator and now that he’s gone (PBUH) Graham has shifted back to standard-brand conservative Southern politician.
I have to admit that I’m quite curious and would love to know what would have happened had McCain still been alive and able to walk around. I suspect he would have done his “reach across the aisle” routine and calling, daily, for Kavanaugh to abandon this.
But then I remembered that curiosity killed the cat so, you know, never mind.
I hope you are right.
