I’ve been basically stating the same thing since day 1.
She’s a farce as a professor and as a trained psychologist.
By all rights she’s an embarrassment to the profession, but imho the profession is a farce anyway...
I don’t know if they have to but it is highly recommended. Having people dump their crap on you all day is stressful, you need somebody to dump some on.
In Texas we know what BS is, MS is more of the same, and PhD is Piled.Higher.and Deeper.(Especially in behavior.)

With all due respect, Psychologists are Victimologists. They are pai to get yroubled people to unserstand if they are victims of something, then to try to find out why and how. If they are not victims, then to find out why they think they are. My brother has been a Psychologist for almost 50 years. I asked him once “what do you tell a person who is struggling with homosexuality?” He told me, if the person feels guilty about it then he tells them if it is ok if they truly are homosexual.. If they say they want to stop being homosexual, then he tells them to “knock it off!” I thought it was a good answer, but totally agnostic, which he is. So Ford was able to play “Dr.” For the circus.
My take away from all of those classes were that the psych professor were certifiably nuts themselves.
Just a few thoughts: I think Ford believes what she has charged. I also think it’s possible that she is delusional and has projected the attack of another male onto Kavanaugh. I also was surprised at her flustered helplessness at times and was shocked that a possessor of two Masters degrees and a PhD did not know the meaning of exculpation.
She should have known based on many years of professional education and plain common sense that she needed help.
She should also have realized that what she was describing was not a sexual attack but male teenagers dumping on what they thought was a female nerd.

I don't think she is. She's a research psychologist, not a clinical psychologist. And she apparently deals more with methodology, not with actual research.
Now, if I understand it right, every psychiatrist has to undergo analysis before entering practice.
Those are psychoanalysts. They are a small part of the psychiatric profession and an even smaller group compared to all the mental health professions.

Her 2012 “discovery” of K was all about Romney in 2012 floating K as a possible SCJ pick. She had to create some kind of made up paper trail in motion to “prove” a lie she was forming to undermine SCJ K.
I have known a few personally. For a while I had quite a few casual acquantences in the profession.
Each had entered into the field to find out what was wrong with them personally. It got to the point where we would be at a party, and my wife and I would signal when one of them would approach.
I’m not a lawyer, but have been in more than one courtroom.
I’m old, mostly, but am of late quite aware of the FIB and prosecutors, in general, preferring to withhold exculpatory evidence.
