Democrats were the most likely (29%) to erroneously think that Manafort is on trial for collusion with Russia, compared to 17% of Independents and 13% of Republicans. In all, 20% of survey respondents cited “collusion.”
Another 41% of those surveyed said they were “not sure” what charges Manafort is facing. When those who weren’t sure are added in, 63% of Democrats, 66% of Independents, and 61% of all respondents did not know Manafort is not on trial for collusion with Russia. …

No such crime exists.
Betting fewer still realize that Rod Rosenstein was his lawyer the first time these charges were brought, back in 2008 and the government declined to prosecute him then... Not sure how statute of limitations has not come into play after 13 years.
I would prefer to see the fifth-column leftist media (Yeah, you too, Chuckie and Georgy!) tried, convicted and sentenced to be publicly hanged for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. And let their carcasses rot off the noose.

I dont have a problem with him being charged with a crime he committed, but, this seems politically motivated and seems like the judge feels the same way publicly.

No way such case should be handled by a Special Counsel. Such a minor case is very ordinary US Attorney work. Rosenstein steering money to cronies this way is a crime in itself, like Congressmen steering no-bid contracts to their pals.
Of course they don’t know, the MSM and all lefties for that matter have been working overtime to make sure everyone thinks he is being tried for something to do with collusion between President Trump and Russia.

Konstintin Kilimnik, a Soviet-born former translator from Ukraine, is reported - by the New York Times and others - to be the “Person A” described in a previous Mueller court filings as having “ties to a Russian intelligence service” up to and including in 2016, when his boss, Mr Manafort, worked as the chair of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Mr Mueller has yet to assert that Mr Manafort’s Ukraine and Russian connections resulted in any election-meddling. The skeleton for future allegations, however, can now be discerned...
