—yep—I have been amused by the FN 5.7m/m cartridge , IIRC mostly sold to European police agencies—a slightly inferior .22 Hornet—rimless-—

I had a Ruger bolt action custom chambered in k-Hornet. Great round.

My wife comes from a shooting and reloading family. When growing up they would go to a friends farm and set up and shoot the groundhogs in his fields. She was ten and she had been given a .22 Hornet to use and hit a hog at around 75 yards and knocked him down and he slowly got up and she cranked of another round into him and put him down for good and handed the .22 Hornet to her Dad said I want a bigger gun. So she ended up with a .223.

My lever gun preference is for a caliber which is dying in my area of the woods, the .35 Remington, nice round!
