As Trump Negotiates, Democrats Self-Immolate

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

You thought Wendy Davis was a disaster for Democrats in 2014? Lupe Valdez says “hold my beer.” – Texas Democrat gubernatorial nominee Lupe Valdez is making the closing of property tax “loopholes” one of her campaign’s major areas of focus. Yesterday, the Dallas Morning News reported that Ms. Valdez – a former Dallas County Sheriff – owes more than $12,000 in delinquent property taxes. Democrats: If they didn’t exist, nobody in their right mind would want to make them up.

But..but…but…who are we gonna get to play the president in our next disaster movie? – Actor Morgan Freeman got his #MeToo moment yesterday, as no fewer than 8 women came forward to accuse him of all sorts of detestable harassment behavior. This creates a severe casting problem for Hollywood’s producer, since it seems as if Mr. Freeman has appeared in about 50% of all movies filmed since about 1996.

Meanwhile, the scumbag di tutti scumbags, big Hollywood muckety-muck and good friend of Hillary and Oprah, Harvey Weinstein, will apparently surrender himself to New York City police today on felony sexual assault charges. We can expect a whole lot more surrendering himself on sexual assault charges to be in Mr. Weinstein’s future, as active investigations into his behavior are ongoing in at least three U.S. states and two other countries. He was a very busy man.

In case you missed it, the Twitter meme wizards have provided this campaign tool to every Republican candidate running for office in this year’s mid-term elections:

San Fran Nan – the gift who just keeps on giving – to Republicans.

Democrats really should learn how to read, Part 9,587. – On Thursday morning, President Donald Trump issued a letter to the Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea seemingly cancelling the scheduled June 12 summit meeting between the two men in Singapore. Citing the intemperate tone of recent official comments coming out of North Korea over the past week, Mr. Trump also expressed his willingness to resume negotiations over the de-nuclearization of the Korean Peninsula whenever the Norks calmed their crazy selves down.

Democrats all over the country – none of whom have bothered to read “The Art of the Deal” or make any other real effort to understand the way the President operates in high-stakes negotiations – spent most of the day literally celebrating what they believed was a big “win” for Kim Jong Un (because liberals will always side with the world’s despots over the United States whenever a Republican happens to be in the White House). Had any of these people ever taken the time to try to understand Mr. Trump, they’d have known that the letter, and the brief speech he made later in the day on the subject, are classic examples of negotiating tactics that he has used many times in the past.

At about 4:20 CT yesterday afternoon, I decided to try to be helpful to all the Democrats out there on my Twitter account:

David Blackmon @GDBlackmon How do you think all these Democrats celebrating the cancellation of the Trump/Kim summit meeting are going to feel in a few weeks when they find out that letter Trump sent today was just a part of the negotiation?

Because that's what it was.

4:22 PM - May 24, 2018

Less than an hour after that tweet was posted, the Norks responded with an official statement calling the President’s cancellation of the Singapore meeting “extremely regrettable,” and offering to meet with Mr. Trump “any time and in any form.” The Kim government also issued a video that purports to show the destruction of the country’s main nuclear weapons testing site.

In “The Art of the Deal”, one of the negotiating tactics Trump emphasizes is that you have to be willing to just get up and walk away from a bad deal. This was the major failure of Barack Obama and John Kerry in their laughable negotiations over the deal with Iran – they were so desperate to get a deal, and old deal at all that would in their minds enhance Obama’s pathetic “legacy”, that they were never willing to just walk away. So they ended up with one of the most horrific “deals” in world history, a “deal” that ended up requiring them to load $400 million in cash on a plane and fly it over to Tehran to give to the Mullahs.

Donald Trump isn’t going to do that. He’s not going to sacrifice America’s national security and national treasure for reasons of personal vanity as Obama did.

We have to remember here that Trump is engaged in a highly complex negotiation involving not just two countries, but four: the United States, North Korea, South Korea and China, which is North Korea’s main benefactor, and thus exerts tremendous influence on Kim’s behavior. Despite what it says, Trump’s letter was not about recent intemperate statements coming from Kim and his official spokesmen. The President is obviously dissatisfied with some aspect of what is being offered by either North Korea or China, and is not willing to put his name on an agreement until that matter is resolved favorably to the U.S.

We also need to realize that the President’s dissatisfaction may not even be about some issue directly related to North Korea – he could be trying to gain concessions out of China’s President Xi in ongoing tariff negotiations or some other China-related matter. We don’t know right now, and the truth is that we may never know.

What we do know is that yesterday’s upheaval has not ended U.S./North Korea negotiations. We also know Democrats very predictably jumped the gun because they still, 17 months after the 2016 election, have no understanding of how the current President of the United States operates, or for that matter, why he was elected to begin with.

Yesterday was just part of the art of the deal. The deal may – or may not – ended up being delayed, but the rapid response by the Crazy Little Fat Guy proves that it isn’t dead, as every Democrat in America had obviously hoped.

Just another day in the Art of the Deal America.

That is all.

Articles like this remind me of why I supported Trump almost from the beginning and why I still love him so much. He is truly a Godsend. Thank you.

Yet, Valdez will garner enough votes to be a serious challenger. Go figure.

Trump is playing the North Korean Fat Boy.

Trump's unilateral cancellation of the summit was done on purpose and is part of how Trump negotiates the other side into submission.

He'll have The Chubby One eating out of his hand before this is over with.

In the meantime, there is a "Cleanup on Aisle 8" because of all the liberal heads exploding.

Maybe the Establishment Left needs to read The Art of the Deal really carefully? While Trump is playing grandmaster chess, the Left is still playing tic-tac-toe.

Obviously, Catwoman (clever disguised as Russian reporter Miss Kitka) figured out that Morgan Freeman is responsible for all those cool toys that Batman has.

(Excuse for Miss Kitka pic)

Wrong time to be tweeting to liberals. They are otherwise occupied at 4:20.

Nancy Pelosi keeps spewing inane bile that will contribute to many awesome GOP campaign ads. Pray that Pelosi , Schmucky Schumer, and Mad Maxine keep up their Liberal mindless diarrhea rants leading up to November.

Defending MS-13 is one of their most outrageous rants yet. Only insane tortured souls would defend MS-13 “animals.”

Bears repeating.
