We have lost our culture to the Cultural Marxists and, increasingly, our liberty to the Rogue Ruling Class. It is easy to despair. But, in the late 1970s, it was also hard to believe we could defeat Soviet Communism. Then three courageous peoplePope John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reaganchanged the world.
Reflecting on that, Robert Reilly describes what we must do today to win our war:
Language, then, and the restoration of its relationship with reality were critical to the Communist collapse. This was no small feat since, for many in the West, words had lost their meaning. A recovery of meaning was essential before a real challenge could be presented to the East . . . You cannot use evil as an adjective until you know it as a noun . . .
Communism was a form of absolutism fighting a form of relativism. As such, Communism had the clear advantage . . .
Reagan was the first political leader to use the moral vocabulary of evil to describe the Soviet empire in the recent era . . . the president calmly responded that he wanted them, the Soviets, to know that he knew . . .
Once the proper vocabulary was employed, it was over . . . Truththe splendor of truthturned out to be the most effective weapon in the Cold War . . .
The word evil was the correct diagnosis, but what was the prescription? . . . The prescription for evil was God . . .
Before people demand democracy and social rights, they have to gain faith in their own human dignity. That was the prerequisite for liberation: You must know you should be free before you can be free . . .
You need not be afraid because of the truth. Know that truth, and it will set you free. One needs not only physical courage to be free but, above all, courage of the mind in identifying and speaking the truth . . .
If truth is impossible, so are the self-evident truths upon which free government depends . . .
To recapture our culture, lets proclaim four core principles and reclaim the meaning of words:
+ Speak the truth, rejecting political correctness, relativism, and the resulting reduction of political differences into power struggles.
+ Promote the dignity of each person, enabling us to be a free, sovereign people and not subjects.
+ Invest in individual character formation, driving changes in our culture and eventually our politics.
+ Insist on the rule of law and equal justice under the law for all.
Be not afraid.
Seems to be hitting some of the same themes from Dr. Jordan Peterson, IMO. Using the word “evil” again, as was done so aptly by President Reagan, would likely cause an MSM and swamp meltdown such as we have never seen.
Mark Levin was talking about this years ago.
1)the elimination of dual language choices on phone prompts and signage
2) elimination of the ethnicity and race questions on loan applications.
I recently applied for a home improvement loan and finally located 'white' at the bottom of the list of choices, after about 6 flavors of Spanish speaking peoples, Asian, etc.
yes and use accurate terminology.
they are not “liberals” or “progressives.” they are “Leftists”.
“Leftist-Fascists” works too.
You have to OWN the vocabulary and define them and what they do clearly. With your own words, not their preferred words.
The Power and Danger of Iconography"
It is eight minutes, but one of the best descriptions of how powerful iconography is in politics...and of course, delivered in the inimitable style of Bill Whittle.
And Chickensoup is correct in his posting...I have been corrected and since become a convert.
I don't call them liberals or progressives any more (except for the ones I refer to as "The Good Hearted Liberals" who I view more often as misguided or uninformed than I do leftists. Once they become strong, active and partisan adherents of Leftist dogma, they stop being "Good Hearted Liberals" and become "Stone Cold Leftists"...)
Re: ethnicity on forms, do what I do. Check Other and write in AMERICAN.
Even on the Census form
I don’t call them liberals or progressives any more (except for the ones I refer to as “The Good Hearted Liberals” who I view more often as misguided or uninformed than I do leftists
______________
I used to do this, especially in the social services realm. Ultimately I have found that these people are guided by a self-interest that over arches every other issue. (example: local religious resettlement organizations went looking all over the united states for Somalis to resettle in our state, thus justifying the organizations and their salaries)
Rogue Ruling Class? Who are these people? Where do they live? How long have they been ruling us?
Racially obsessed liberals who are wealthy, live in New York and Boston, and have excessive influence over US Government policy in Washington DC? I think this has been going on since the 1850s. Same sh*t, Different Centuries.
long time.
Eisenhower and Kennedy and many others warned us about them.
Today they are known as the Deep State in the US.
Most American are opposed to ILLEGAL ALIENS entering our country, so the left has changed the term to "Undocumented Immigrants", as though they're here because of some kind of clerical error.
After several harsh winters where people got tired of shoveling out from under all of the "Global Warming" that was falling, they changed the term to "Climate Change."
Most Americans are opposed to "Gun Control", so now the left has begun using the term "Gun Safety" instead. After all, "control" is one thing, but who could be opposed to "safety?"
Same agenda, different name.
Don't forget the Affordable Health Act that send premiums to the stars....endless examples of the Dems trying to trick people, like going from being liberals to "progressives".
Yes, i've been studying the issue. Most people won't like what I've realized.
Eisenhower and Kennedy and many others warned us about them.
I recall hearing about the "Military Industrial Complex" since I was young, and for most of my life I was under the impression that it was a shadowy collusion effort between Government Agencies specifically tasked with Defense, and Manufacturers of weapons and weapon systems to keep up a demand for their products in an effort to enrich everyone involved in this business.
But in the last few years I have began to realize this term "Military Industrial Complex" is insufficient. It is, I believe, much wider than just military spending. I think there is a "Deep State", "Crony Capitalist" system of influence affecting all government spending with the intent to keep spending levels as high as possible because people of influence are making quite a lot of money off of spending and deficits.
I think the heart of this beast is in New York, and that's why they have very strong control of the News systems in this country, and the news systems are explicitly Liberal because Liberal policies aid in the maintenance of this artificial spending system which enriches the people who control the media corporations.
I think a more appropriate term is the "Spending/Industrial complex."
Today they are known as the Deep State in the US.
"Deep State", "Establishment", "UniParty", "Crony Capitalist", "Spending Cartel", "Elite", "Aristocracy", or whatever you want to call it.
It is a system outside of the checks and balances of the system which was designed for us to have. It is corrupt, and it has been in place for a long time.
Look up corruption in the US, and it will invariably take you to the Grant Administration. It didn't start there. It just became more visible at this time because people who were part of this corrupt system went too far, and made it too apparent.
Yes we need to have an official language. In other countries legal agreements can be written in other languages but must have a copy in their official !language. Multiculturalism is anti any country it happens in. How ever native American culture/language is native and should be honored. If you come to America you should do your best to blend into the American stew. If you ddon’t want to blend then get out.
Whenever somebody uses the term “White Privilege” I counter with “Wait - You mean White competence?” Because that’s ultimately what we’re talking about”.
So yeah, I’m doing my part!
bump
It is horrible. The division of what should be one American people is not only baked into our institutions, it is always at-the-ready to stir up violence.
Does that mean we also assign a grammarian to the First Lady’s new campaign?
