Thanks to Bret Baier, James Comey’s Defense Strategy is now a Matter of Public Record

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The depraved seditionists who make up the team of fake journalists at CNN spent all day Saturday whining about the fact that President Trump refused to attend last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner for the second straight year. No longer able to attract any A-list talent, the WHCD was hosted by some D-list comic named Michelle Wolf, whose opening monologue proved beyond all doubt the President had made the right decision once again.

CNN laughably billed the dinner as a “celebration of the first amendment,” as if anyone at CNN actually gives a damn about the constitution anymore. Ms. Wolf took this billing to mean that she was free to fill her routine with any profanity, insult or slander she saw fit to use, even to the point of personally attacking White House representatives Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway, who made the mistake of choosing to attend the dinner.

The evening’s festivities only went downhill from there. Gosh, hard to imagine why the President of the United States of America would choose not to legitimize such nonsense. In reality, the dinner provided just one more reason to question why the White House continues to allow these people onto the grounds for daily press briefings. It has been obvious they are a hostile force since the first day of this administration, and represent a security threat to the President and his advisors.

The President of the United States has a duty to keep the people informed of what his administration is doing on a regular basis. But no president has any obligation to cater to the whims of a group of hostile degenerates, which is what the White House press corps has become. Last night’s event was a disgrace, not just to the near-dead journalistic profession, but to the entire country. It should not go unpunished.

Mr. Trump, meanwhile, traveled to Washington Township, Michigan to hold a rally that drew attention away from the attention-starved gaggle of fake journalists. It was classic Trump, a wide-ranging hour and twenty minute stream of consciousness that touched on pretty much everything going on in Washington, DC today. The White House Press Association should send him a thank you note for distracting the public’s attention away from the disgusting display its members put on at their annual Hollywood for Ugly People gala.

But back to CNN. If they haven’t already done so, Jeff Zucker and some of the on-air talent at the fakest fake news outlet on the face of the earth had probably better start lawyering up, since it has now become quite obvious that they have not only tailored their reporting to support the conspiracy to take down this presidency, but some of them have been active participants in it.

Make no mistake about this: What has gone on within the FBI and DOJ since mid-2016 was initially a concerted effort to rig a national election that then, after failing to do that, morphed into a full-blown attempt at a soft coup d’etat. As we discussed in yesterday’s Campaign Update, CNN fake host Jake Tapper has been an active participant in the plot since January 2017, when Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper shared the contents of the fake Trump Dossier with him. Since that time, Tapper has sat silently by without comment as Clapper has lied about the Dossier and who he shared it with time after time after time. That makes Tapper a willing participant in a conspiracy to bring down a duly-elected president.

If Tapper was aware of this, it idiotic to believe that others at CNN weren’t also aware of the same thing. As a network, CNN has not only continued to allow Clapper on its air, it actually awarded him a big contract in August 2017 to become a paid talent for the fake news channel. By that time, it was already public knowledge that Clapper had lied to a congressional committee about all of this, but the fake news network hired him anyway.

As this conspiracy continues to unravel, there is no telling where all these various threads will lead. But we can bet that some of them will lead deep within bowels of the management at CNN, which is about to make a bunch of lawyers a buttload of money.

Speaking of making lawyers a buttload of money, I went back and listened to James Comey’s interview with Bret Baier again yesterday. It strikes me that in that interview, it is obvious that he was basically practicing the answers he plans to give on a witness stand in a court proceeding.

For a guy who just wrote a book about all of this, Comey’s memory has suddenly become very fuzzy. His answers to Baier’s questions are filled with weasel-word qualifiers that good lawyers always tell their clients to use, phrases like “I don’t recall,” “not to my recollection,” “that’s not consistent with my memory,” and on and on. Comey’s obvious defense strategy will be to blame Andrew McCabe, who was his deputy, and Bill Priestap, the FBI’s head of counterintelligence – and the guy to whom FBI super-agent-in-his-own-mind Peter Strzok reported – for keeping him in the dark as they and their minions went about their anti-Trump machinations.

Taking that interview with Baier was a serious strategic error on Comey’s part. Baier, with his tough questioning, forced the teen drama queen onto the record about all manner of things he should not have been talking about, leaving Comey now stuck with a narrative that’s already been aired in public. Even with all the weasel words, it will very difficult for him to shift that story come trial time.

Those of you who still think Attorney General Jeff Sessions isn’t going to pursue any of this might want to take a close look at Comey’s behavior over the past week, because Comey obviously disagrees with you. You might also want to think about the fact that, other than Clapper and Obama CIA Director John Brennan, the rest of the Obama high officials implicated thus far – like Ben Rhodes, Sally Yates and Samantha Power – have gone strangely silent in the public space over the last month or two.

It’s a strong bet that some lawyers are making a buttload of money off of them as well.

Just another day in the conspiracy to end the Trump presidency is falling apart America.

That is all.

Will Comey also hire his best friend of 30 years (pretend conservative) Andrew McCarthy?

As for Clapper. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice and shame on me.

Clapper literally talks out of the side of his mouth. My apologies if he’s paralyzed on the ride side of his face.

After being caught red handed in two very big and public lies, it’s hard to imagine News outlets asking him on their shows.

Dianne Feinstein had the CIA by the proverbial jewels and by all rights should have demanded his head, yet she let him off the hook.

By reports, no one should attend this vulgar trash heap. It is totally unbecoming for this kind of event to be associated publicly with our country. Has the US press have no etiquette? This cesspool of a party should be an affront to every American. This just shows how low life the press people are.

In the Baier interview, Comey asserted he did not “know for certain” that the dossier was paid for by democrat adversaries of DJT. But in the very next breath he “understood” the dossier was originally paid for by republicans. So Comey was willing to parrot unverified false reports about the genus of the dossier, but unwilling, without certain verifiable proof to acknowledge democrat complicity.

Baier’s interview revealed Comey as a coup participant.

Comey is used to just making statements as the head of an agency that people don’t want involved in their lives and getting away with it, he has practiced that “ Bassett Hound “ look when responding to make you think you don’t know what you are talking about to perfection. Problem is, unlike former President, The Donald , will not sit back and let this drivel go unaddressed

Well thought out article and well-executed. Ironically, thinking along the same lines and earlier today, blasted the hell out of Jake Tapper on Twatter for his role with James Comey in the coup attempt introducing the phoney “dossier” in the #RussiaCollusionHoax.

He’s definitely feeling the heat. Yesterday some woman put a photo up of Tapper’s book. Half the comments I saw was about his role in the dossier conspiracy with James Clapper.

#WINNING, not tired.

Comey told so many demonstrable lies in that interview that he can’t possibly defend them.

The newest agent recruit can tell you that your notes, taken in the course of performing your job, are ‘WORK PRODUCT”, they are not your own, and may not be personally retained when you leave the job.

It is not possible that Comey misunderstands this basic rule.

The White House Press Drivel Dinner isn’t held on White House grounds. It’s in a hotel in DC. Hey, maybe we could start a boycott of that hotel! (That part is sarc.)

Frankly, I hope the Press keeps it up. They are driving the Independents to POTUS, I think.

The major question is why are so many saying “because of Comey’s statement on Clinton about what the law was he can never be prosecuted (see Gowdy comment).

I am not a lawyer, but does the misapplication/misinterpretation of law by a investigator or prosecutor invalidate the law?” That seems ridiculous.

Comey is neither the legislative or the judicial branch. There were numerous statutes that were easy to prove that he ignored and the word intent did not appear in the one he cited. He put it where it did not exist and ignored others. On top of that, we have now learned that politics did influence his decision and he purposely played semantics with his own statement with “negligence.”

Unbelievable. BY LAW and DECADES OF PRECEDENCE the only person who can make a decision if it should be put before a grand jury is a U.S. Attorney - NOT the director of the FBI. This is bizarro world.

Comey is an olympic champion lier.

He is using interviews to sharpen his sword and prepare for any future sworn testimony contest.

The better he lies, the more valuable he is to his new world masters. There is no downside for him. The more he practices whittling the truth the better shield he builds by amassing a public record. This is a public kabuki dance by Comey. Not even jail time will thwart him.

The black hats know that lies are their best strategy for regaining control. Comey is leading the way.

Americans are oblivious to this obvious point. The Republic is being slowly strangled.

So Pinnochio Award for him from now on...

Is Comey poisoning the jury pool?

Regardless, I do not care nearly so much about the smaller fry. I want the kinpin and queenpin indicted.

Anyone who thinks the two who are the raison d’etre for the coup - the very leaders of the coup crew - will be indicted by this DOJ under Sessions is, I opine, deluded.
