Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
The fascists come out into full view in Jolly Old England. – As London has suffered through its radical Islamic-driven epidemic of knife killings over the last few years, I have occasionally joked here and on Twitter (@GDBlackmon) that the next thing you know, they’ll be banning knives in England. Over the weekend, any further joking on that subject became moot, as London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, took to his own Twitter feed to issue the following edict:

When free societies force their law enforcement officials to behave as if they are incredibly stupid and have no means of identifying the real threat – all in the name of political correctness, of course – the “solution” inevitably ends up being that everyone ends up being treated as a threat.
We see this in our airport “security” measures, in the name of which we regularly witness the spectacle of Homeland Security officials patting down small babies and 90 year-old great grandmothers.
We see this happening in Parkland, Florida, where the school kids are now forced to use see-through backpacks by school and law enforcement officials intent upon continuing their policies of refusing to enforce the law against student criminals.
We see this in our regular gun control debates that invariably take place in the wake of mass shootings, shootings that almost always are committed by unstable individuals with long histories of interactions with law enforcement officials.
Of course, the politically-correct goal in all of these and many other instances in our idiotic society is to force law enforcement to treat every individual as if we are all equal threats, even though those officials have all sorts of means of identifying and acting against real threats if they were just allowed by law to do so. But because those means might offend someone, everyone must be placed at higher risk.
The reality is that political correctness, and worshiping at the altar of some fool’s notion of “diversity” at any cost leads inevitably to the rise of fascism. You don’t have to believe me, all you have to do is spend 15 minutes Googling “college campus political correctness” and browsing through the thousands of articles documenting “safe spaces”, the shutting down of any speech that might accidentally offend someone, classes and seminars that blame every evil in the world on white males, and on and on and on.
The notion of fascism has always been portrayed by our left-wing fake news media and entertainment industry as somehow coming out of the political right. The truth is that fascism is and always has been the inevitable outcome of political leftism.
The fascists have come out into full view in Western Europe, as leftist leaders in England, Germany, France, Sweden and elsewhere implement policies to allow Europe’s native cultures to be overwhelmed and ultimately destroyed by radical Islam. If you think that can’t come to the United States, well, just wait until the next time we decide to put a Democrat in the White House, and see what happens. It won’t take long at all.
Four days after President Donald Trump instructed Defense Secretary James Mattis to present him with a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, dozens of people were killed in a chemical attack on the town of Douma. As the Administration rushed to blame Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad for the attack – and the Russians for somehow facilitating it – all the usual suspect warmongers like Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins and John McCain rushed to the nearest TV camera or Twitter feed to advocate for not just keeping the U.S. military in Syria, but going to an all-out war footing there.
Senator Graham was so excited at the prospect of sending thousands of additional U.S. military personnel into harm’s way during a series of Sunday morning TV interviews that he could barely contain his glee. He and McCain and Collins have truly never met a Middle Eastern civil war in which they did not want to involve America’s armed forces.
It was painfully obvious that none of them – nor any of the army of talking-head warmongers in the fake news media – took a moment to reflect on the incredibly convenient timing of this chemical attack, or to assess what possible motive Assad – or especially Putin – would have to commit such an atrocity less than 96 hours after President Trump had expressed his desire to get America’s military personnel safely out of that hellhole. They never gave any consideration to the possibility that this atrocity might have actually been committed by Syrian rebels desperate to keep the U.S. involved in the theater, given that they have been losing badly in the conflict.
But this is not just about Syria here in the U.S. All of these people – along with the entire Democrat Party and most of the fake news media – have been aggressively pushing President Trump into a war posture with Russia since even before he took office last year, forcing the President to abandon his goal of improving relations with Putin. They no doubt leapt with joy Sunday evening as reports of missile strikes on Syria began to come across the news wires, thinking their tireless warmongering had already resulted in action by the Trump Administration.
The U.S. military denies it had anything to do with the air strikes, even though Syrian state television initially claimed otherwise. Russia and Syria later accused Israel of conducting the attacks, which could be the case, since Israel has carried out air strikes into Sryia whenever they perceived a threat to their own country’s security. As if this writing, the Israeli military has had no comment, but we will probably find out who conducted the bombing, or if it indeed even took place.
But back to the point of all of this, and that is that every thinking American ought to be taking a moment today to reflect on the fact that all these warmongers – which includes the neo-conservative element in the GOP, virtually the entire Democrat Party, and almost the whole of the nation’s fake news media – have spent the last 15 months doing everything they can to push President Trump into an increasingly aggressive and openly hostile posture towards Russia.
Isn’t it time we as a society started demanding these people tell us why that is?

Hey, you can carry a knife in Scotland, but you have to wear a kilt to do it.Its an exception to the no knife rule.
I carried a razor sharp 16 inch bladed dirk on my belt and wore nothing but a kilt the last time I was there. I was hoping to get an edge in but no one bothered me at all.
Social fascism is the ideology that most of the democrats and many republicans in DC and our statehouses adhere to. It is the “UniParty.”
This definitely explains the attitudes of the never Trumpers, who aligned themselves right with Hillary, who would have had us fighting it out with the Russians.
Assad was getting his wish hearing the US troops were leaving. Why would he royally screw that up by launching a chemical attack? Of course the media and all the usual suspects were quick to blame Assad.
