We were looking at the surface, not thinking that this might be a strategy. Then there was the gleeful Democrats. A majority of Democrats voted for this bill compared to Republicans. Things really aren’t what they seem to be in government.

Chat up the lefties about all the scholarships and student financial aid that foreign countries are getting instead of them, compliments of the Dem Party. Then hit them with the comment that there will be no further legislation this year.
We need to reinforce that Dems own this spending bill - every line of it.

Rush, tho he hides it well, has been GOPe ever since HW invited him to stay over at the White House. Laura Ingraham is smarter and better informed.
And the stern looking Trump at the press conference after the signing will make for some very effective visuals for use in the upcoming mid term and 2020 election media campaigns.

No, I don’t like this spending bill, but I’ll bet he gets some mileage out of it one way or another. When was the last time you saw the left do something against him that DIDN’T backfire?

They were so gleeful, I thought for sure we were getting a raw Deal. Larry Elder reminded us today on the radio that Trump ran more as a populist as opposed to a fiscal conservative. Oh well, he knows our mind now. No more BS shenanigans!
