Let’s not give humanism undue credit. It sits there, a black hole swallowing up the minds of those who just needed an excuse for their preexisting unbelief, and their irrational denial of God’s existence.

Humanism is Satan’s most powerful weapon. It was his weapon in the Garden and remains so today. Yes, it cannot work permanently on the Elect, but it can still slow down their realization of God. But on the rest of humanity, it is a terrible burden since even those who are not chosen can still benefit from general revelation and Humanism denies even that.

I’m not giving Humanism any credit. All the credit for corrupting the human mind goes to the author of Humanism.

Humanism brings no advance because sin cannot gain, it only loses. Every time. Corruption is never a credit but incurs eternal debt to the corrupter.

Most of our side will retreat into our bunkers cowardly hoping to be last.
That is what will happen.
Disgusting.

Maybe in the eternal time frame. But in the temporal, Humanism does gain.

Separating the tares from the wheat is only a gain for God’s plan. Not his enemy’s.

I, _____, having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.” (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed ...

Notice “defend the Constitution” is mentioned first. For a reason.

I’m not talking about separating tares from the wheat. The Elect are always called and preserved.

I’m talking about the earthly life of the tares and, to some extent, the earthly life of the wheat as well. It is quite possible for one of the Elect to spend most or nearly all of their earthly life not knowing Christ and even denying God. That is time wasted. In the end, all glory goes to God, but in the meantime a person could be enjoying life more.

And, if earthly life doesn’t matter, then why do we even worry about any of the stuff we discuss on FR? If you want to say that only eternity matters, then economies, politics, wars, etc are irrelevant and we waste our time here even thinking about such things.

You always start these “discussions” by nitpicking a detail and when the details starts to go against you, you switch to talk of mysteries and eternity as a conversation-ender. To paraphrase your own post, what is YOUR agenda?

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

The reason to enjoy life, or to help others enjoy it, is only to reflect God’s eternal glory. To make this life an end in itself is never right.

The details always go against me. But they never go against the truth. My agenda is the truth. If I’ve said anything untrue, please show me where.

Of course, I did not say that it should be.
