You’re again bringing up something completely outside of my comments.

If you think you know how to fight like a free man, then show you can pass the first test of manhood: honesty.

Maybe you’re being honest. But maybe not. What I mean is, you seem to want to force something into my discussion that I was not contesting in the first place. This suggests an underlying, unspoken agenda.

Man up—tell me what your agenda is. (I think I know what it is, so if you don’t come out with it I will tell you what I think it is, and your response will tell us a lot.)

>>Man up—tell me what your agenda is.

You don’t need to be such as ass by insulting me. Just ask.

But, I don’t think I have an “agenda”. I just have a feeling based on observation:

1) Conservatives will eventually walk into slavery as long as the enemy (the Progressives of both parties) can provide a useless conflict to argue with working Democrats who aren’t full-fledged Progs.

2) The Progs of the GOP will let us give away our nation by continuing the mindless worship of market fundamentalism.

3) The Christian church will be undermined by the need for cultural acceptance until we no longer have saving faith.

You can call that an agenda if you wish. Maybe it is. Anyone who has been in real life-or-death combat like those who served in WW2 submarines or 8th Air Force bomber crews would tell you that you have to accept that you are already dead or the possibility of death will drive you insane and cripple your ability to fight.

The Progs are winning and are winning big. Our side thinks we can not only win, but that we’ll come out the other side unscathed and in one piece. Every one of their little victories in America’s death by a thousand cuts drives us a little more insane and cripples us in the real battles.

Bull. It was a news story, not a blog post, from your leftist heroes at NBC.

Oh really? Here's the source blog.........

Connecticut halts plans to round up firearms after finding most cops in the state are on the list

Why are you here on FR?

To discredit the crap you just posted. Post the NBC article you claim then maybe I will reconsider my opinion of you...........Fair enough?

Maybe they’ll sew a yellow stripe down the back of your jammies for you. Molon Labe.

I love you tough guys and your use of the Greek language to make you sound tougher.......LOL!

That pretty much sums up any argument you thought you had. When all else fails, start throwing insults.........Sheesh!

Okay, so you knew enough to reveal #3, which contains the underlying agenda I suspected.

You can be alleviated of your fears, however. Christian faith is eternal and cannot be taken away or lost.

You’re right. I mistook an NBC source that I posted to another person and thought that link was sent to you. I’m wounded. When I take the dog in tomorrow for his check-up, I’ll ask the vet to patch me up.

I never issued one insult to you dude, you lost it when you couldn't respond with a legitimate argument to my Post #87.........

Insults? Read your above quote......You remind me of an adolescent trying to pose as an adult........either that or you're drunk. I suspect the latter.........

You an call that an agenda if you choose. The reason why I mentioned the church in this case was because Communists go to such great lengths to suppress it. Why? Because it promises a life after death, so oppressed people are willing to die fighting if they know that there is a future in it. I could have said that the Humanists are working hard to convince warriors that Valhalla is not real and that this is the only life you get so don’t waste it fighting for something as nebulous as “freedom”.

But your statement that the church will not have saving faith is false, because the faith of the church is eternal.

Not false. When I said “we”, I mean people not the collective “the church”. As the Humanists try to turn Jesus into the Great Philosopher and remove the supernatural from belief in the bible, then it is impossible for a person to believe in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. Without that, you are not saved.

But only if the humanists succeed. And they can only succeed where the soil was infertile to begin with.

True. Nothing ruins soil more than sowing poison into it.

Actually, there’s no poison involved. Some fall where there’s no soil and the birds eat them, some fall in shallow soil and dry up, and others fall among thorns which choke them. Others fall into good ground, and bring forth fruit. Matthew, Chapter 13

The faith that bears fruit is eternal faith.

What is shallow soil as it applies to humans?

That’s a question only God can answer.

Huh?? You make absolute pronouncements about the eternal nature of faith and can’t answer a question about a simple parable??

Perhaps your question is not as deep as I presumed it to be.

If what you asked for was a simple interpretation, here’s the answer: shallow soil means the faith doesn’t endure and as such wasn’t true faith.

If your question was as deep as I first presumed, that is, what is it in a person that determines whether or not they will have true faith, then the answer is exactly what I said—that only God knows.

I wanted the simple interpretation. The Humanist culture creates shallow soil. Poison was not the best analogy. Think of it as Humanism scraping away topsoil by turning Jesus into a philosopher and community organizer, by removing the belief in the supernatural, by teaching that “all roads lead to the mountaintop”, and by creating a doubt that there really is a hell....and a heaven. When they are done, many are left with a shallow layer of dirt.
