GOP Lost in PA Election Last Night?
FreeRepublic ^ | 3/14/2018 | Mr. K the KnowItAll

DEmocrats win by ANOTHER razor thin margin after sudden late- night counting gives them enough? I AM NOT BUYING IT! If Trump does not get a handle on election fraud then we are lost. The democrats know this is their last hope to get the obama agenda back on track. If Trump got a supermajority they would be set back 40 years. They are going to pull off all the voter fraud they can- and then some. Because they know if they win THERE WILL BE NO INVESTIGATIONS

The only logical way of draining the swamp of undesirable Republicans is to defeat them in primaries. NEVER allow Democrats to gain the upper hand by being in the majority. There won’t be anything left worth fighting over. Take a RINO over a RAT any day.

"I think the GOP getting wiped out in November is a good thing because it will cleanse the party, and we will get more Trump-aligned candidates for 2020."

It's never a good strategy to lose now with the hope of winning later. A lot of damage can be done in the meantime. Always aim to win.

“The Rats, despite all the blathering, know it’s political suicide if they try to impeach Trump.”

Not just political.

That approach is why nothing ever changes and we're left with so many weak GOP candidates. Trump will be fine, even with a Rat Congress. Not as is there's any difference, anyway. These are not usual times, the usual political conventions don't apply right now.

The GOP and Trump are in for a long second half of the term. If Trump makes it to 2020, which is not a sure thing.

“I think the GOP getting wiped out in November is a good thing because it will cleanse the party, and we will get more Trump-aligned candidates for 2020.”.........”This is all part of draining the Swamp, you have to drain the GOP, first.”

So YOUR crystal ball say any GOP that lose in November will be RINO-moderate GOP, and not Trump supporting GOP?

I think that thinking is how small loses turn into major routes. Nothing depresses turnout more than thinking all is lost anyway.

Instead of crystal gazing, get out in the party and WORK for the good GOP members.

It is political suicide if they don’t.

They have watched the GOP bleed its base away by not supporting them, the Dem base wants Trump in jail (at least the moderate ones just want him in jail).

Thanks for the clarification Re what this election is about. Local is always based on what can I get from the one who sounds like he will give me the most. The MSM isn’t saying this is really local even though they say PA house race. They make it sound like a congressional seat was just up for grabs.

Fair Districts PA made that happen.

They were working in Philly but the other hand was on the other side making changes too.

“Undecided voters”, arguably the stupidest group in America were very much swayed by Fair Districts, who actually posed as conservatives while canvassing on the streets. When asked, they would say “We’re bipartisan” which is a complete lie.

Conservatives don’t work the streets looking for signatures. We’re too busy working and raising quality families.

Of course something doesn’t smell right in Denmark. It’s Western PA. Pitt, h-burg and Philly are all communist outposts.

I can tell you that in that region, which is a coal region, the voters have been totally energized by the good that Trump has done, and the evil that Wolf has done. I would not expect this sort of outcome.

“The Rats, despite all the blathering, know it’s political suicide if they try to impeach Trump.”

I’m not so sure they do. It pretty well dominates much of the conversations among Rats. Hell, I remember shortly after the election in 2016, just before I retired, a lot of my co-workers (this was in Chicago) talked about nothing BUT impeaching him. The idea is a dominant one among the Rats.

Let ‘em try, then.

Trump will cruise in 2020 if they do.

Thanks for that perspective which is sorely missing in all the analysis of doom and gloom.

Duplicity, pure and simple.

The problem is that independent voters fell for it. Once in office the Dem will conform quickly.

Exactly and trying to nationalize the election on Trump’s 2016 margins and district popularity is not going to work.

The divide is real and growing. We are losing the cultural side and no amount of political power will change the cultural side.

Imagine the divide in 8 years, Trump or no Trump reelected. It isn’t going to be pretty. The progs will rip throats out the way Republicans can never do.

Agree. No excuse for these losses. Huge losses coming November in the house if RNC leadership is not changed.

Remember, the original candidate fell by the wayside and the Dems did the usual....put up a pretty boy.
