“Seth Rich was a hard core leftist...we should avoid exalting him.” If Seth Rich was honest about his political beliefs, and if he died trying to expose corruption, he deserves to have the true story of his murder uncovered, and he deserves to be distinguished from the likes of HRC et al. I know a few “hard core leftists” whose politics seem nutty to me, but who are honorable human beings.

I doubt that Seth Rich's family at this point is concerned with protecting liberal Democrat politics. They're probably afraid for their lives. Come on, freepers, their son has been murdered. I'm sure they are mourning him, and I'm sure they are terrified. Seth Rich himself seemed ready to expose the hypocrisy of the “Democratic Establishment”. Why would anybody here assign such base motives to his family? I think they are being blackmailed, not bribed.

Reading Chappaquiddick Speaks right now. I was quite aware when it happened. I'm very familiar with Nantucket and flew low over Chappaquiddick numerous times to give my passengers a look. I've read two of the most prominent books about it.

But if I read about the substantial intimidation the various witnesses experienced, I don't recall it. Chappaquiddick native and author Pinney makes it clear that the message all the witnesses got was that these guys play for keeps.
