Department of Justice Inspector General (DOJ-IG) Michael Horowitz’s long-awaited report will accuse outgoing FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe of improper leaking to the press and deliberately misleading DOJ-IG investigators, according to Thursday reporting in the New York Times and Washington Post. The New York Times broke McCabe’s alleged leaking to the media first. According to their “four people familiar with the inquiry,” Horowitz’s report will accuse McCabe of authorizing the leaks that led to an October 2016 piece in the Wall Street Journal that revealed on ongoing dispute about how to handle the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails that had just been reopened by the discoveries on disgraced Congressman Anthony Wiener’s laptop.

Good point. Is the IG leaking about McCabe leaking.
Perhaps somebody from the IG staff is doing the leaking? Given the current state of affairs, it's hard to imagine that such a big department as the IG isn't compromised, perhaps all the way to the top.
Ask Sheryl Attkisson what she thinks about the integrity of the IG and his staff.
October 2016? Wasn't that before the election? During October? Kind of a... what's that they call it?... Oh, an October Surprise.
That's the sort of thing that could have influenced the outcome of the election, isn't it?

The IG probably quietly informed a congressional comittee in advance. Then dems leaked it.

No. That would be Conspiracy. That is a criminal charge which can put someone away for a long time. The media has been pushing the word “collusion” for over a year. That way if a Dem is charged they will spin it as a misdemeanor. mcCabe should be charged today. Probably will never be charged as Sessions has punted the entire matter to the IG.

Interesting, a leak about a leak. Mueller knew, because Horowitz told him about it. Since Horowitz has kept a tight grip I would assume it was someone in Mueller’s leaky chain.

Why would the IG discuss his PENDING Report with a Congressional Committee? If the Report is completed then it should be issued. The entire IG Report is a total scam. My guess is Adam Schiff is the main leaker. He has leaked many other things which were Classified and not one work was said about his criminal actions.
Ah, the long awaited, and promised, IG report. First of all, whom does the report go to. Ah, again, the head of the agency as in Sessions. Ah, wait a minute, I thought Sessions is recused from all manner of things related to the investigation, so whom does it go to? Ah, the deputy IG who is whom? Ah, it is one of the guys on the hook for a target letter. But, how can he take action if the report is about him. Ah, back to square one. This is nothing but one big circle jerk.
Ask yourself what type of top FBI official would leak about the most sensitive cases right before a presidential election. Then ponder how Comey, a leaker himself, vouched for this guy. But Trump is being investigated for firing these corrupt jerks.
Meet Patsy, the scapegoat.
Yep, he’s the fall guy. He’ll do no jail time and the IG and Sessions will declare that the intrigue is over and you folks can all go back to your regularly scheduled programming on CNN. Comey, McCabe, the Ohrs, Strzok were all in this attempted coup up to their neck. Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller and Wray have all signed on since the election. This isn’t over by a long shot.

It’s ancient history at this point.
I could be wrong, but my impression is they report their findings to Congress first, before public. And there is more than 1 report.
