It was only a few short weeks ago when the dangerous craze of teens eating Tide detergent pods and posting the videos on social media had gotten so out of control that YouTube and others removed the videos so as to not encourage them.
But in less than a month, the Tide Pod Generation has gone from being a great American shame to being our current leaders in the “debate” on how to run the country.
All that it took was one school shooting, a well-funded and highly-coordinated anti-Second Amendment movement, a crooked cable television network falsely presenting itself as a legitimate source of news, Americans are being scolded by teenagers who have somehow become wise beyond their years and are presented as morally superior to their elders.
Last night’s grotesque orgy of anti-gun propaganda on CNN aside, liberals have come up with a genius new idea to vastly expand their voting base. Lower the voting age to sixteen!
"The real adults in the room are the youth from Parkland, Florida, who are speaking out about the need for meaningful gun control laws. They are proving that civic engagement among young people can make a difference. The ironic part? They can’t even vote yet."
Yeah. No problem. Lower the voting age to include those impressionable minds who are gullible enough to swallow liberal propaganda and then stroke their young egos by tricking them into believing that they will actually have a seat at the table. The manipulation of these shooting survivors may not be the very definition of evil but it gets pretty damn close.
It just goes to show that Democrats would sell the souls of their own children to the devil if it helps them to win elections.
The real world is going to eat these little punks alive!
TV and movies have prepared the ground for this for years.
Adults are always stupid. Adults can’t handle life, can’t handle love, can’t manage their families.
But Hollywood has shown us that the sweet little 10-year-old who is wise beyond her years will save the day and teach those stupid adults a valuable lesson and then everyone will live happily ever after.
Of course, this sort of saccharine tale is less appealing when we see 19-year-olds foaming at the mouth, shouting hatred, and threatening our Constitutional rights. But, after all, those kids are wise beyond their years.
I hope that the number of people standing up for the 2nd Amendment, the possible revamping of immigration, and possible invalidating the practice of unions collecting agency fees from non-union members is going to force Leftists to eat Tide Pods to cope with their losses.
I hope. I know I am being optimistic, but hey...there hasn't been anything to be optimistic about for quite a while.

Whodda thunk that munching TidePods would make you “smart”. These kids were on to something when their “parents” were telling them that marijuana is what makes you “smart”. What a country!
One of the prevalent memes among my liberal clients is how “articulate” these youths are.
My response to that is:
“If they were as articulate as you perceive them to be, yet espoused policies that were antithetical to your own political philosophy, would your opinion of them still be the same?”
Raise the voting age to 30.

Reply: “Too bad you can’t hear some conservative youths speak on TV. Their logic, knowledge and articulation would blow you away. But, they’re not allowed to speak. Why is that, do you think?”

Thanks for responding to my post ... yes, I’ve read Heinlein’s “Starship Troopers” at least twice. Lots of good stuff in there.
Lower or age at will, but the threshold of adult-hood should be consistent: driving, voting, legally liable, etc.
If they are too ‘immature’ for a weapon, they are too immature to handle a ton of speeding metal (driving), have an abortion, be in the armed-forces (which handles FULL auto [HORROR]), etc.
