Government — and the funding of government — should be as close to the citizens as possible. Local government is best. State government is good. Federal government not so much.
I want the federal government to do very little and I want it to have limited power, and I want it to have a very small budget (definitely less than half what it currently has).
Our current situation leads local communities to seek “other people’s money” by cheating on statistics in order to get government grants. It’s not good.
Socialism always wants to spend “other people’s money”. But if the funding and the government is right there in the community, you start to make better choices.

when school districts intentionally altered criminal statistics and crimes on campus
in order to protect their reputation and academic attendance and integrity ( ?..Really ?) !!
Its been going on for years, but came to the news forefront as a result of Trayvon.
The administrators also tell parents to have their kids ride the bus on certain days of the year. It's all because on those days, the reviewers are reviewing them for bus funding.
The more kids in class, the more kids on the bus, the more funding they get, yet they complain loudly about private-sector corporate welfare.
Everyone- The whole country needs to understand how the liberal Broward apartniks allowed Niko Cruz (ya he’s likely a Russian FAS baby adoptee) to murder 17 people and wound countless others. They sold our kids safety for federal funding $$$$$$!

this sheriff’s deputy probably should have never been a deputy. He should have found a different job long ago, but he probably thought being school security was a gravy job with little risk. This is how people, or your dog, gets shot because the cop “feared for his life”.
