Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that due to intelligence provided by Israel, a plot by the Islamic State group to blow up a plane from Sydney was foiled. According to news reports, the plot included the smuggling of an explosive device inside a meat mincer, by the 2 brothers Khaled Khayat, 49, and Mahmoud Khayat, 32. Last July, Australian police charged the two brothers for their plot to blow up an Etihad Airways flight traveling from Sydney to Abu Dhabi, according to BBC News.
“The Israeli intelligence services thwarted the downing of an Australian plane, an unimaginable slaughter,” Netanyahu said yesterday. “This would have caused a major disruption in global air transport and this is only one of the dozens of terrorist attacks we have foiled around the world.”

I recall right after 9/11 the FBI had hired a number of Arabic speaking translators to help with the translation work backlog. About 70% were from Arabic countries and then somebody got the great idea that there be NO JEWISH PEOPLES working in the dept as “it will bias the translation”. Those of such group were removed! And I shook my head in amazement as this was a clear case of radical Muslim in their midst interfering with ongoing work! And we woder why the FBI & CIA are so broken!??
