Feral hogs can be a pain on your property where they run rampant.
Some owners have hunted them down to mitigate the problem at the ground level.
Now these guys from John Coffee FB took this mitigation to the air via helicopter.
Hunting these hogs at the ground level can be a chore and sometimes they do get out of your sights or they run in every direction.
With this airborne approach, man, you own the sky.
Once the hogs have been spotted, you can get to work quickly, yes it is like shooting ducks at a gallery.
But at least these hogs offer you a moving target to enhance your marksmanship. See the full footage of hog hunt from the air here.
If they run they’re VC if they don’t run they’re brave VC
Wild hog makes a great lean bacon. Hunting them from the air is a waste in that sense. Trapping is best though.
..because Jdams could take out a few herds...
They’re well disciplined VC.
I live in the Texas Hill country and these creatures pose a threat to livestock, property and pets. They seem to come out of nowhere and will completely destroy a landscaped yard in a matter of minutes. As for eating them, I wouldn’t. If you can capture them alive they can be observed and tested for disease. Otherwise, consuming one of these is risky business.
SE Missouri has these hogs.
The Conservation Department has banned shooting, in favor of trapping.
Big traps can snag five or six hogs at one time.
Pigs don’t fly
Ejected shell casings can easily JAM helicopter foot pedals. NOT safe without a catcher.
In Texas there were legislative efforts to give them tainted food.
These guys cant shoot fer $hit.
If only these RIGHT WING NUTS would be willing to talk and negotiate with these creatures, we might come to a peaceful solution to the issue.
But NO! The first thing they do is DECLARE WAR. No different that Bush with Iraq.

Any method by which they can be killed is a good thing. Its impossible to kill them fast enough. A feral pig can give birth twice per year, occasionally three times per year. And, the norm is eight piglets per litter. So, Make your assumptions and run the math out five years is far enough to understand the problem.
At that Youtube site, there's another hunt taking place in Australia by "contract hunters". Seems to me if they were serious about the problem they would declare an open season, sell hunting licenses to anyone who wants one then offer a bounty on the pigs........
Seems like high cost/pig.
I mean, the Momma pig says that all her little piglets "didn't do nuffin"!
In any given year you have to kill 60+% of them to have 0 growth in the population!
And do you see the movements of the second pig? It was clear that he was an ASPIRING WRAPPER, particularly after taking that bullet.

How about a drone with a gun? Wow! Hunting will never be the same!
