Vanity ~ Has Obama ever mentioned MS-13 by name?

Posted on 01/31/2018 9:25:40 AM PST by GraceG

Just a question because apparently if Obama had ever mentioned MS-13 then according to Joy Villa, it must mean Obama worked for Fox News somehow...

Need someone with a good memory to see if he did.

Funny how Democrats today seem to deny that MS-13 even exists...

“Has Obama ever mentioned MS-13 by name?”

If Obama had children they would all be like MS-13.

He referred to them by his preferred name — Dreamers.

Okay, question. I've been pondering this one for a bit.

Why the focus on MS-13? What about the Eme and Norte in California. Crips, Bloods, Latin Kings, etc. There are more criminal gangs in the U.S. than "Gangs of New York." And what about the Dead Rabbits?

Is it cause they are immigrants? I expect so. I guess it's good strategy, but I would like to see all the major gangs put into the National consciousness too.

Just a thought.

I’ve never heard of democrats having a problem with violent street gangs. In Chicago the gangs work for democrats - check it out ... they help with ‘elections’...

Democrats approve of MS-13, they kill Americans, but I doubt they vote Democrat, heck I doubt gang bangers vote at all

“Is it cause they are immigrants? I expect so.”

Yes,in a sense,we have enough of our own gangs without importing them,

Another thing is the extraordinary violence of MS-13,which I first read about 15 years ago.

Yes, and the media report went like so:

“President Obama reminded us that ‘Mara Salvatrucha’, a global voting-rights activist group whose founders included long-time Los Angeles residents.”

I don't mind us going after them. They are definitely bad. And yes, they are definitely more violent in their methods than most domestic gangs. And yes they are imported. They are very worthy of a harsh campaign.

I just hope we follow up with the rest of the gangs. They are a scourge all across America, not just the east coast.

Right. They began in Califas due to proximity. But now they are portrayed as an East coast thing by the media. California has a BAD gang problem, both imported and domestic. Maybe the worst of all the states. Though it may be my bias that makes me say that.

I found this astonishing——they are VERY organized.

Good question. I agree as said before yes we have our own gangs, we also import one? I think they are also in fact significantly bigger, more organized, more violent than almost any other gang. It’s also probably useful to highlight them in the middle of the immigration debate, because their whole operation is intricately connected to illegal immigration, specifically of minors.

MS-13 is not an American gang. It is a very violent organized crime organization from another country working in the U.S. I’m sure they have ties to the RAZA and Chicano movement but nobody writes about that.

We should encourage the Italian Mafia to take them on.

This is interesting. I've been out of the game since before this "meeting" and I don't know if they succeeded in fully allying with La Eme. They have the same colors, blue. Red is for the Nortenos in California. I notice that Boston rival gang sports red. Like the crips (blue) and bloods (red) who have also spread from California to other parts of the country. This thing is nationwide and if they aren't at constant war, they will consolidate. That would be a bad thing. Here's an excerpt from the article.

In July 2011, members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS13) attended a meeting organized in California by a criminal known as “Bad Boy.” Among the invitees was José Juan Rodríguez Juárez, known as “Dreamer,” who had gone to the meeting hoping to better understand what was beginning to be called “The Project.”

The Project was an alliance that was being developed between the Mexican Mafia (aka, la eMe), the MS13, and the Knights Templar to distribute drugs across the United States. In order to secure MS13 participation in the deal, gang member Luis Gerardo Vega, known as “Little One,” had been accepted as a member of the eMe. This was a historic moment for a gang that was until then considered a mere pawn within the regional network known as the Sureños, which was managed by the eMe.

I'm very interested in criminal street and prison gangs. They play a major role in the crime rate and our society at large. They must be contained.
