For those who have forgotten the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli Act of 1986, here is a refresher.

At the time, Congress PROMISED that the Amnesty given to ILLEGAL ALIENS would be a one time deal and would NEVER be brought up, again. President Reagan foolishly signed the bill into law.

We ended up losing California as these new citizens ended up voting for the same politicians that ruined the countries they came from.

Good information but I didn’t see any political promises of no further amnesties there. I know they made them at the time but I’d like to see some links or citations on what the promises were.
1. Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA), 1986: A blanket amnesty for some 2.7 million illegal aliens
2. Section 245(i) Amnesty, 1994: A temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens
3. Section 245(i) Extension Amnesty, 1997: An extension of the rolling amnesty created in 1994
4. Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty, 1997: An amnesty for close to one million illegal aliens from Central America
5. Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA), 1998: An amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti
6. Late Amnesty, 2000: An amnesty for some illegal aliens who claim they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA amnesty, an estimated 400,000 illegal aliens
7. LIFE Act Amnesty, 2000: A reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty, an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens
Did anyone here see the Fox News interview last night with the Mayor of Santa Fee with about Dem mayors skipping meeting with President?
Martha pressed him on whether he though it would be right to give up a border wall for Daca Amnesty. He absolutely refused to. He said a wall would be useless (BS, see below) and that ALL illegals should be welcomed because it’s the american way.
So basically, they are actually telling you (and me, and everyone) without spelling it out frankly, they want illegals who came to be citizens, and they want ALL FUTURE ILLEGALS TO BE LEGAL AND KEEP COMING!
...and saying a wall would be useless is pure and utter bull-sheetth0le. What does the Mayor of some city care if the federal government wants to waste a few billion on a wall that doesn’t work. It’s no skin off his nose. He ONLY FREAKIN CARES BECAUSE HE IS AFRAID IT WILL WORK.
These guys are saying it for everyone who can hear. Keep them coming in, unchecked, forever.
The bill says nothing about building the wall.
It’s disgusting how many boomers around here are still not against amnesty.
