Coincidence or connection? Its odd how statistics showing the escalating opioid crisis show the same yearly growth during the waning years of the Obama administration! The 2014 list of ten states with the most opioid deaths show eight to be red or leaning red states with only Delaware, at number nine and Rhode Island at # 6, being clearly left-voting states.
Number one in the year 2014 was West Virginia which still held that awful title in 2016. Note here how W.Va is a long standing red state, full of working class employees and coal miners. New Mexico was second with New Hampshire at 3, but two years later Ohio had the second highest opioid death markers and New Hampshire drops to number 3. The other 2014 states are KY at 4, OH at 5, Rhode Island at 6, Utah at 7, PA at 8 and OK at number 10. The swing state of OH experienced considerable leftist pressure to enter the blue column. FL was mentioned on another map with high drug rate deaths but was not included in these stats. This very important political swing state was susceptible to Obama administration pressure in several ways. And the recent addition of 300,000 storm refugees from Puerto Rico certainly will be in evidence during important elections.
Since Obama has been retired to his blue White House, even Congress has begun to awaken from its Sleepy Hollow. Perhaps, well maybe, our country does have a politically linked drug problem. The United Kingdom print outlet, DAILY MAIL provides these recently released, 2016 statistics. W. Va had 52 deaths by overdose per 100,000 people making it number one in the opioid sweepstakes. Even though the state has a Democrat senator...

Same with trying to get immigrants into red states but they tend to end up in sanctuary states.
It actually began under GWB on the West Coast around 2002.
Exactly maps when we got involved in Afghanistan.
A close friend had her life destroyed by opioids in CA.
What a bunch of garbage. New York City and other boroughs are a disaster with opioids. I don’t remember New York or New Jersey going red. They are both opioid disasters.
obama destroyed the jobs and economies in the red states.
This is what filled the gaps.
The opioid crisis is part of Darwinism. Millennial snowflakes and libs hardest hit.
How the state of the economy is literally killing people
U.S. Suicide Rate Surges to a 30-Year High
US suicide rate rises sharply, especially among middle-aged whites

How about if we blame junkies for being junkies?
My home county in Tenn has had 25% unemployment since the Carter years. A mortician friend of mine confided at my mothers funeral that 75% of his business is teens to early 30 yr olds due to drugs. This is an old bootleg moonshine county that switched to maryjane during the sugar crisis, now oxy and meth.
The best cure for this is a thriving economy that allows people to hope and strive and dream again, the American Dream! MAGA!
No DACA deal!
Yet Rip van Sessions goes all out on Reefer Madness.
Utah gets its #7 ranking from its population centers, Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County which are run hy rats. The other portion of opioid users is likely Mormons who won’t touch the illegal drugs, but figure a prescription drug is OK. Obviously, we need more education to combat that misunderstanding. A good economy helps, and our unemployment rate is only 3.5%, so you would think we have a good one, but obviously, we have more work to do.
I think that’s right, what you said. In future, it will be important to observe if manufacturing job announcements increase in hard-hit areas due to the Trump tax cuts, and if the number of people seeking treatment also increases. Hopefully that policy will bear fruit in increases in labor force participation along with decreases in the opioid addiction and suicide rates.
Obama is a Marxist....item number six on the 11 point plan for cultural subversion devised by the Frankfurt School....for fun, tally up the cultural changes effected since Obama was elected Potus...then give thanks to the good Lord for Donald J Trump...
1. The creation of racism offences.
2. Continual change to create confusion
3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
4. The undermining of schools and teachers authority
5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.
6. The promotion of excessive drinking
7. Emptying of churches
8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime
9. Dependency on the state or state benefits
10. Control and dumbing down of media
11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family
And poor parenting—treating kids like electronically entertained PETS with no responsibilities—certainly idle. Shuffling their Einsteins off to a myriad of meaningless planned “activities” instead of free play and imagination. Every kid gets a trophy mentality.
Then ladle ADHD meds and anti-depressants down their throats because they are “depressed” (read: spoiled, jaded and bored)
Idle hands
Color me not surprised.
LOL. Good one!
“Note here how W.Va is a long standing red state...”
Not true at all.
Here’s how WV voted in presidential elections since 1976:
1976: Carter
1980: Carter
1984: Reagan (they wised up)
1988: Dukakis (yes, Dukakis)
1992: Clinton
1996: Clinton
2000: Bush
2004: Bush
2008: McCain
2012: Romney
2016: Trump
Almost half are Democrats in those elections. And if you look at the governors they are overwhelmingly Democrat.
only one problem with junkies is being junkies.
here we saw a global muslim enabler at work
the supply tsunami occurred while Obama was intentionally letting the muslim turd world prosper and again, once again, at America’s expense.
Yes, but how does that cause a person to OD on opioids?
Doesn’t really matter what states have the highest levels of opiod related addicts and deaths. Darn near every states is near crisis with this problem. Doesn’t matter the demographic or political persuasion. We now lose more people to overdose than we do auto accidents.
I would think cheap and available heroin pretty much tops the list though for short term concerns.
