This is spot on. I’ve been making the same point for decades that judicial activism is anti-democratic. The current nevertrump hysteria has just made it worse.

The Left has always been much better at legal maneuvering and legal strategy. Hillary and Obama took it to a new leve, although.because they were sure Hillary would win, they were sloppy.

That’s why Trump must strengthen his relatively weak legal team, starting with replacing Jeff Sessions.

As Greenfield says, Trump has been under grave attack from the very powerful legal forces of The Left.

Jeff Sessions has been literally worse than useless. Not only has he not lifted a finger to help Trump, but he has instead helped the Justice Department, the FBI, and Mueller’s investigative team attack Trump, obstruct justice by stonewalling congress and drag their feet in providing information to Judicial Watch

These legal fights could be life or death for the Trump presidency. It is so frustrating to see someone as incompetent as Jeff Sessions in such a critical position.

Like ALL military, law enforcement and government officials, I took an oath to defend our Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. By abandoning the rule of law and conducting a coup against the President & policies WE THE PEOPLE elected, they have made themselves enemies of the United States.

After observing that all patriots, regardless of position, have a duty to protect the Constitution, Sawyer minced no words detailing what he believes would happen to those involved in Trump’s removal and he explained why:

My prediction is it will be a gruesome massacre. Why? Because one side in this conflict has 8 Trillion bullets & the other side doesn’t know which bathroom to use.

The absurd outcomes of these rulings, that the University of Hawaii can set national immigration policy, but not the President of the United States, and that fitness to serve in the military can be determined by a Federal judge, but not by the military or the commander in chief, are only an irrational side effect of a conflict between the elected branches of government and an unelected class of political lawyers.

Legal conflict is the last stage before physical conflict. The lawyers’ war is a last ditch effort by the establishment to wrest physical control of the government from President Trump. Unable to give the orders as the representatives of the people, the left is asserting every possible valid and invalid legal stratagem to run the government anyway. And to run President Trump out of town. If its legal gambit fails, the left will default fully to mass protests, street violence and terrorism.

But... a civil war fought by lawyers is cleaner and less ugly than one fought with bombs and bullets. If President Trump can survive the lawyers’ war, his opposition will be split between radicals who support violence and an establishment that wants to keep things running...

If the Democrats can’t sweep into office on the investigation’s coattails, the whole thing dies with a whimper. As Trump reshapes the judiciary, the judicial activism will matter less. The lawyers’ war will either end with the next election. Or it will begin in earnest. And only voter turnout will decide that.
