CNN sees that Mr. Potter is the Liberal seeking to put the people in the straight jacket of his "public housing" and George Bailey is the "Donald Trump" seeking to make Bedford Falls great again by freeing the people from the dictatorial power of "Progressive" Potter... (censor! Can't allow that truth out!)
As with all (misnamed) "progressives" Potter sought to own and control ALL aspects of life in Bedford Falls, seeing only George Bailey as standing in his way! He seeks and thinks he has framed and destroyed George Bailey, as he is standing on the bridge ready to commit suicide. When angel Clarence intervenes and shows what life would be like without him... notice:
Potter changed the town's name. to Pottersville... (removing monuments and statues perhaps?)... and any previous history of the town.
Brought in gambling and prostitution (Girls, Girls, Girls neon sign), destroyed families (Taxi driver Ernie's wife left him) and put the people into despair (the bar scene with Clarence the Angel)...
Also George and Mary had very loving, committed and (alas!) heterosexual traditional marriage! Who can’t see the sexism in that?
Is it "sexist" because it shows the true goal of (misnamed) "progressives" everywhere and CNN doesn't want that to be seen? Is not Potter was the perfect Liberal? Showing pure contempt for the little guys ("Garlic eaters") and a desire to control them and keep them poor!

I did find it interesting when I got to the part with this passage:

Too bad, Milo. The "Ocean's 8" trailer has just taken social media by storm. And Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Cate Blanchett and Mindy Kaling have replaced the original male cast..."
The difference is that "old-fashioned songs, plays and ballets" used to be...entertainment. They were created and performed with that in mind.
Today, it is quite different. As this author clearly points out with relish...the "entertainment" that comes out of Hollywood today has a primary purpose for the creators of social engineering.
And if it just plain sucks, as much of this "entertainment" does, people aren't going to pay money to be "entertained" by it, although there are people who will pay money because they agree with the social engineering. But most normal people, even the genders or colors the Social Justice Warrior producers and directors are ostensibly aiming at, understand full well the nature of what they are watching, and they see it isn't "entertainment" but "attempted programming". So they stay away in droves.
It is an interesting exercise to look at these uber-liberal movies and their performance, and note that time after time, they spend $80 million to create, and bring in $15 million at the box office. They keep losing. Yet...they keep getting funded.
Interesting. How does that happen? Who puts up the money and funds the production of these forms of 'programming'?
Love CNN.
They relieve us of our obligation to prove liberals credentialed, not educated, and far, far, far more stupid than we could ever imagine.
Next Dec. 25th, CNN can have a reading of “Heather has Two Mommies” or “Santa’s Husband.”
CNN is sexist and should be retired.
They are entitled to their opinion. And we’re entitled to laugh at and instruct them to go f*** themselves (in a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year greeting sort of way, of course).
The Left just can’t help themselves when it comes to censorship.

Any term they use that ends in “ist” is without merit. It is intended to be an insult, or at least an extremely negative thing, whatever the term, but I won’t accept it. Frankly, I won’t even acknowledge it, other than to advise the user to pound sand.
CNN should love this movie. It criminalizes capitalism. And promotes self-sacrifice and ‘caring’. George gives up his own dreams for the sake of others. The difference is George actually **does** something, rather than just telling everyone that he “cares”, without doing anything - the last of which is what defines liberalism.
The Cartoon News Network should be retired....(IMHO Spongebob Squarepants could do a better job reading the news).
