Political discourse just reached a new high in the Trump era, courtesy of social media and the interwebz. Obviously, I am referring to Twitter and that strange creature Rosie O’Donnell, a feral never Trumper who was so blatantly stupid she tried to bribe US Senators offering them millions of dollars cash provided they vote against President Trump’s tax cut bill. To make a long and amusing story short, Rosie O’Donnell tweeted last night she offers two million smackaroos (cash) to any Republican senator who’s ready to kill Trump’s tax reform bill.
In case you’re not Mr. Current Affairs, Rosie O’Donnell is a comedian and talk-show host, but the joke’s on her this time. The thing is, regardless of how proudly and openly one may try to bribe US Senators for whatever reason, this is a felony which may land you in prison for up to fifteen years. As the Senate was debating the bill on tax reform on Tuesday night (breaking news: it passed), Rosie O’Donnell went on to Twitter and offered $2 mn to any senator that would have the guts to vote against the bill, yet she suffered a major disappointment as no one seemed to be interested in the offer, i.e. the bill passed with 51 votes vs 48 (all DEMs voted against it).

Rosie is on thin ice here isn’t she? This sounds like clear attempts at bribery.
If she gets in any legal trouble, I’m sure her attorneys would say that nothing happened and she’s being persecuted.

GOPe are like Democrats, why not dangle a million in front of them. Its like that trailer park comment about dragging a $5 bill. It works well on some of the greedy Dems., why not the Republicans? Any politician who accepts that kind of offer should be shot, WITH HER!

It's no different.
Every direct or indirect bribery attempt should be prosecuted without exception.
Because the mainstream news media are all democrats/marxists political activists . The news media creates the false reality we live in as in the movie the Matrix Obama, Hillary, Muelleer,comy , Lois Lerner and thousands of other democrats have committed thousands of crimes but nothing has happened to them because if the media doesn't focus on it the public doesn't know about it either.
I believe the statute uses the word “corruptly”. the cow clearly didn’t expect anything in return, so she wouldn’t be convicted. and there’s no way she would have paid up if the RINOs did her bidding. Didn’t she promise to leave the US if Trump and/or Bush were elected? She’s still here. and the DOJ would loose any microscopic trace of credibility they have left if they bothered with this cow while Hillary is still free to walk. (what happened to “lock her up”?. The Donald let his friend off the hook.
I’d like to see a prosecutor bring her in....charge her up....then have the judge do a creative sentence. No social media for three years. That would permanently change her behavior.

Open solicitation of a vote for any specific action is bribery of an elected official. Soros et. al. Are supporting the senators hoping/s they will support their positions.
