It never seemed that the Republicans in Congress of the Senate came alongside of Moore, so to pile up on Bannon is poor sportsmanship. He was the only guy who put his neck on the line. Even Donald Trump never publicly came out in strong support of Moore. He was at it pretty much all alone.

The allegations were impossible to overcome in this highly charged “me too” environment in which we are living. The voters did not reject conservatism or the Trump agenda.

One would have to be extremely gullible to believe the debunked accusations against Roy Moore. Steve Bannon is not such a mark.

Jones only won by a razor thin margin and it remains to be seen what kind of voting slate will be available to him as he likely can not afford to be too cosy with Chucko and other liberal Dem types.

I agree with this. Bannon a huge loser here.

Mitch McConnell lost this seat with an assist from Romney, McCain and other faux conservatives. First he poured millions to defeat the conservative in the first runoff, then supported Strange.

Yesterday's Alabama Special Election proved one thing:

All Politics Is Local.

There really isn't much more to it than that. The people of Alabama have spoken. Not Hollywood, not Washington DC, not a bunch of outside special interest groups and not George Soros.

The people of Alabama, and that's the most important thing.

The reality is whoever won this race was going to be nothing more than a placeholder for the next two years because both candidates are terribly flawed.

Jones will be nothing more than a rubber stamp for the Democrat Party and a lame duck as a result. He has a huge target on his back already and I'd bet is the most vulnerable Democrat to have to defend a Senate seat in 2020.

Judge Roy Moore was going to face an endless barrage of calls for him to resign should he have won, and a Senate Ethics Committee (that's a laugh right there!) "investigation." That would've been a big distraction for the Republican Party and President Trump as well.

So IMO there really wasn't a good choice here, dare I say not even a good "lesser of two evils" to be honest.

The real race for this seat will be 2020. This wasn't even a bump in the road despite the victorious crowing we'll hear from the Democrat dominated liberal media today.

The Democrats have to defend 25 Senate Seats in 2018. The Republican's only 10. Prospects are good to increase Republican control in the Senate this cycle. That's where the focus should be right now. This "victory" for the Democrats will be short lived, it'll burn itself out as soon as the next big story breaks and be forgotten.

Let's all move on and focus on 2018 and not get distracted.

Democrats turned out 92% of their 2016 voters. Only 50% of the 2016 Republican voters turned our for Moore.

I didn’t have to make the choice, so I can’t say for sure, but I may have sat out myself. The Sean Hannity interview was very unconvincing. I certainly wouldn’t have voted for Jones.

George Soros and vile innuendo were the real winners. How much money did the DemocRATS throw at this contest.

Bannon will win some and lose some. The important thing is to let the RINO’s know that its not going to be business as usual anymore. The jig is up with the McCain/Romney Republicans.

Bannon is going after them with a vengeance. If they want to burn down the house then I say so-be-it. Burn it all down to cinders. The hell with the status quo.

The loser is ......USA not Bannon .
The losers are those who are giving up , TRUMP who let SESSIONS in , the GOP-e .

After such a trash campaign , elections should have been stopped and repealed , investigations should have been launched against accusers in a campaign ....

USA is becoming banana republic with illegals who will vote more and more ! That’s the goal of libtard fascists who want open borders for cynical reasons

I'm not being so quick to blame Bannon.

We need someone to back insurgents to challenge incumbents, and without a quarterback like Bannon to coordinate a national effort, it will be a haphazard disjointed movement at best.

Remember that Democrats have to defend 23 seats in 2018, and Jones has to run again in 2020. Republicans should grow their lead next year. After two years of Doug Jones, Alabama may sour on his liberal votes.

The problem is that without carpetbagging, Bannon will have to go with the best that each state has to offer. The hope is that someone like Bannon can attract people to step up and not run away from the cause because of McConnell's scorched earth fragging of his own side.
