True enough, but I don’t think we should be forever focusing our physical cross hairs on men. God might well say, as He said to Peter, “Stop.” And restore the gospel hearing of those that we would attack physically. (As it sounds to me, the cutting off and restoration of the centurion’s ear has a symbolic sense. It wasn’t just some random detail in the bible. Jesus’ actions carried symbolic meaning as well as literal meaning.)
It is a complex interplay and truly, listening to God is the only way to know how to go. But it’s the gospel gun that I would be shooting.

I’m all for the Gospel. But when some crack addled Morlock is swinging a tire iron at your head I doubt he’ll stop to discuss the finer points of Mark or Luke with you.
Trust in the Lord, but keep your powder dry.
