Looking for Christmas Song, Santa with a .45, or Santa Mugged

About 36 or 37 years ago, at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, I recall hearing a Christmas song over the radio. I would like to find it again.

It was a rendition of Santa Clause is Coming to Town, but with a significant twist.  In the story line, Santa is mugged, and when he comes back, he comes prepared.

As I recall, Santa comes to town armed with a .45.

There are plays on "He knows who has been naughty and nice".

I recall a memorable line about the reindeer.  Something like trample, trample, trample.

I do not know if the song had much of a shelf life. I only heard it the one year, around 1981.

Someone out there knows of it, and has a copy, or knows where to get one.

I would appreciate finding a copy online, or failing that, some way to make an audio file and post it online.

One More: A Holiday Mash, for all occasions, but especially Christmas. One of the original Mashes, Monster’s Holiday is just like the Monster Mash, but with jingle bells and the Monsters attacking and robbing an unsuspecting (and woefully unprepared) Santa Claus. Rumor has it that it’s this very attack that has caused Santa to carry a firearm during his yearly rounds.

Those lyrics are a lot closer, but in the song I am looking for, Santa never shot the reindeer, they were part of his team.

Santa never shot innocents, just those who had abused him.

It played on the radio, in at least Madison, Wisconsin, probably on WKOW.
