I’ve run into that one.
One of the best ratchets I have ever owned is a flat black Pittsburgh brand.
I’ve had to put pipe on for extra and it’s held great.

I need one at the warehouse/makeshift garage that has no power.
It belongs to FIL and getting the OK to get it hot hasn’t been gotten yet.
My battery powered stuff gets me by mostly.

Best thing I got from them is my anvil. Absolutely unbreakable. Not many moving parts to break or wear out.

So far a few dozen. I don’t do much with wood.
That tree was dying and I did a controlled crash instead of waiting for it to take out something important.

Yeah, THAT's a REAL problem...
Back in the day the Europeans used to do 10, 13, 15, 17, 19. Then the US DeeTroit folks added 14, 16, 18. HF never got the memo to include all (though who really needs a 19 if one has a 3/4"?)

I actually used my 19 mm open end last month to take the trans oil cooler tube off of the radiator in one of my XJ Cherokees.
The 16 and 18 mm are needed for the motor mounts of almost every American car.

HF sells some magnets that one can mount to a drag board to pick up stuff from the “grass”.
That shade tree mechanizing has some issues if you screw up and drop stuff.

Wait...what kinda grass you talking about?
Kidding aside...I do have one...has a bunch of humongous magnets on it.
I have some cattle in an area that once was a junkyard.
It's been 60 years or so, but stuff still comes up...and I'm doing everything I can to protect the cows, without getting out there on my hands and knees.
It works...I put it on the front bucket and just run a grid about two-three times a year.
I wish I had a magnet for brass.
Between me and the grandkids, we've put a whole bunch of .22 shells in an area that I don't allow cows on, but I'd still like to be able to pick that stuff up.

Yeah that's a problem.
The Physics and Metallurgy Communities have some cooperative work to do.
Same for Lead.
