Does anybody know how to turn off Marketplace in Facebook?
I successfully turned it off when I quit Fakebook several years ago.
markomalley has the solution.
There help files show this:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on Edit your settings under Apps and Websites. Click on “X Remove unwanted or spammy apps” under Apps you use. Track down Marketplace from the list, and remove it from your profile by clicking the X button to the extreme right of it
Is this a set up to see how many chime in and self incriminate ?
FB Purity, aka Fuzz Buster Purity
It is an app to go on your browser which enables you to filter all sorts of stuff.
This free FB app allows you to see or don't see whatever you want on your FB feed.
I use “Facebook Purity” described on their webpage as: “F.B. (Fluff Busting) Purity is a Facebook customizing browser extension. It alters your view of Facebook to show only relevant information to you. It lets you remove the annoying and irrelevant stories from your newsfeed such as game and application spam, ads and sponsored stories. It can also hide the boxes you don’t want to see on each side of the newsfeed.”
My only “friends” are family & I’m on FB to keep up with my nieces/nephews so eliminating all the ‘garbage’ FB tries to force feed you is a wonderful thing. “Marketplace” is on on the ‘left side links’ that you can customize on FB Purity & I have checked the box to hide it, so I don’t see it. :-)
Sure, I deleted Facebook from all of my devices.
