I am sure I can find some of my NFL money to give to this fine institution!

Thank God SOMEONE in academia is fighting FOR the USA!

THE most American school in the USA!

Liberty does not take a knee.

I worked with Jerry Davis in 1965. He was quarterback of our flag football team. He was also staff president of around 450 college age staffers.

A fine man.

Mr. Davis, it’s persons like you who make persons like me PROUD AMERICANS. Thank you, sir. May you continue to be a force in the battles to come.

For those who are not aware:

The College of the Ozarks charges no tuition for full-time students, due to its student work program and donations. The program requires students to work 15 hours a week at an on-campus work station and two 40-hour work weeks during breaks. A summer work program is available to cover room and board costs. The college refers to itself as “Hard Work U.”, and places emphasis in “character” education.

Thus, my comment #5

Anyone besides me notice that the article calls him “Davis” and then calls him “Lewis” in the next paragraph?

The pledge is a response to protests that started in 2016, with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem...

He sat. He only took a knee later.

Good, but I think he should declare his team the winner and kick the other team out of the building ASAP.

My daughter went their. Very conservative. Students only pay room and board, no tuition. Every student works an on campus job to earn their tuition.

College of the Ozarks has also added an impressive Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial to their campus. I’m told that they have sponsored trips to Vietnam for veterans who are accompanied by one or more COTO students as a history learning experience.

Grand daughter has a campus visit in two weeks. We’re looking forward to it even more now.

It’s a consistently conservative, patriotic school.
I don’t donate to any college currently, but I would be much more inclined to support this school instead of my very liberal alma mater in the area.

I have heard Newt Gingrich talk about this college. Every kid works at school. That is how they pay for tuition. Great idea.
