Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara criticized President Trump's decision to pardon the controversial former Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Friday, saying on Twitter that it was "contrary" to the Justice Department's standards for issuing pardons.

"This pardon is contrary to DOJ guidelines, unsurprisingly. Pure politics. Wonder what the pardon attorney's official recommendation was," Bharara tweeted.....

He was an impressive person a few months/years back. It looked like he was really going to make the idiot politicians pay for their crimes. But alas - he turned out to be a different kettle of fish.

He sure must have been quiet when Clinton pardoned Mark Rich...as I don’t remember hearing anything about him much before 2-3 years ago... I can’t remember now just what case he seemed to be zeroed in on that gave us all hope but that’s the way it goes when there are so many that need attention and a rope!

My God, do they ever quit? Do they EVER stop with the extreme hypocrisy, idiocy, bias and extreme childish behavior? This is like a Twilight zone episode, it really is, to see adults acting like this, it’s just an epic cringe fest.

We had Obama pardon a TRAITOR to the United States, and that was after this TRAITOR instead of being executed, was able to indulge in his perversions of making pretend he was a woman all courtesy of the US taxpayer. That traitor by the way - Bradley Manning - not surprisingly is now calling for the overthrow of the USA by violence. This is exactly why traitors should be executed Did Preet Bharara ever complain about that? Oh of course not!

Preets needs to shut his trap. He had all the Clinton email scandals happen under his nose and ignored them. The server was in Chappaqua. He’s a partisan hack who got some limelight and wants to stay in it.

Apparently he doesn’t know the President’s pardon power is in the Constitution and not in some “DOJ Guidelines”.

The bureaucratic state is pissed the president exercised his constitutionally granted powers.

They can all go to hell.

Exactly what restrictions does the constitution place on the president issuing pardons? This idiot is just using this as an opportunity to criticize Trump who rightly fired him.

It is a bit unusual to see someone who isn’t a narcotics trafficker getting a POTUS pardon.

Actually, Democrat Presidents are more likely to pardon unrepentant terrorists, as both Clinton and Obama did.

Wasn’t Sheriff Joe’s conviction for contempt because he followed the law and not the lefty judge that convicted him? Why all the hysteria about the pardon Trump gave? I might have to start investing in a feinting couch manufacturer.

And the sheriff was not impeached. So this is a fully legitimate and constitutionally correct pardon. I guess Preet, McCain, Flake, and others could try impeaching Trump if they don’t like it but let it be hard since Trump active legally.

Okay, whatever Preet. Did Benito Obama’s asserting Executive Privilege to obstruct the judicial process in the case of Eric Holder’s perjury to Congress and his subsequent contempt of court case citation?
