Steal. The Feds were rustlers. They met a wall of armed citizens. They decided they better not attack and withdrew.
Bundy still has his land and cattle. Thought you might enjoy knowing that!
Adios!!
I knew that Fedzilla would not stand down.
Fedzilla hates to lose.
They have unlimited funds and will keep going until they destroy Parker and Drexler one way or another.
Sessions is a zealot without the good sense given to a pissant.
I’m searching for a senator who has any backbone or usefulness outside the rotunda.
They are all worthless.
They were grazing on public lands, lands they previously paid grazing rights for then stopped paying. These are lands that could have been leased to other ranchers. They are thieves, nothing less.
> conditions for their release
They were not convicted.
This business of repeatedly trying people has got to stop. All persons begin from a point of innocence, they are tried, and unless found guilty that’s got to be the end of it. The criteria is that they be found guilty, not they they be found “not guilty” - they were not guilty when they entered the court. People do not have to prove their innocence in order to remain free, the jury must find them guilty. The prosecutor failed to convince the jury, so now they moving not to double jeopardy but triple jeopardy. That’s not justice. I don’t care what the bar says.
i belive DJT will put an end to this abusive prosecution
Steven Myhre is a colossal ahole who has no damn business being a U.S. attorney, acting or otherwise.
To keep Cliven, Ammon and Ryan Bundy in prison for a year and a half without a conviction is outrageous.
And Sessions....don’t even get me started on that useless tool.
So now we’re going to have another Kangaroo court convene?
Idiot.
you are so misinformed — to the point of not knowing what you are talking about.
The president should have pardoned the Hammonds, the Bundys, and everyone connected with them in January.
You agree with Harry Reid. Congrats.
Bet you’ll really be pissed when Bundy isn’t convicted.
Your post 2 good points: I join you in asking WTH?!
tell us about Dirty Harry — oh you don’t know THAT story? We do.
No, and I'm not sure where you would have gotten such an idea. At some point an elected prosecutor will usually give up because the political costs of going forward at taxpayer expense exceed the political costs of dropping the case.
The equation is different with the feds, but even there, a prosecutor will generally want to lay down a losing hand.
No Double Jeopardy?
Mistrials only count toward double jeopardy if the judge declares a mistrial for gross prosecutorial misconduct during the trial.
Instead of throwing around insults, read and address my comment 14. Try defending your position. Explain why you think it’s is ok to kill our law enforcement officers? Explain how this is conservative or Republican? Explain how this is American values? Explain how and if any different than other armed thieves, poachers, or insurrectionists. They were an armed gang.
And see post 25.
Teh gae folk are so enamored with shiny jackboots and holster sniffing. “Can I polish your billy club, sir?”
I’m hardly a legal expert, so I appreciate that input.
Thanks!
