Yeah, they mitigated real well in San Jose.
The PD ground guys may not be but the Mayors of Phoenix have successfully made sure the police chief is.

I remember the last time there were threats of violence from the Left and I worried about going to a ball game downtown. It turned out to be a big nothing burger.

if your house had s higher than average expectation of getting broken in to you to the point you were paying for a higher premium you might mitigate that by adding extra locks bolts and security systems
I don’t expect violence either. Maybe some jibber jabbering but not much else, too damned hot right now to get worked up. I live close enough to downtown though and if need be I will be ready, not going to the rally though.
I will withhold that for obvious reasons because
I may have made a very honest mistake in which I misinterpreted the comment about standing down.
I say this because I commented:
I wonder if Penzone will give the opposition a free pass if they act up?
They replied: I heard his guys will stand down.
And I mistakenly assumed he would give these orders IF his guys will do that. I honestly, don’t know if they will willingly stand down or if they were given a heads up to do so.
I wanted to go but I thought better of it. All that standing.
I can hike, I can swim, I can work around the house, but I can’t stand on my feet for long periods of time anymore.
And don’t forget, in AZ, guns are ubiquitous. Only an idiot brandishes or menaces with a gun here, because that make them a primary target for anyone else.

I whussed out myself. Supposed to be 107. I went to three Trump rallies and one Pence rally last summer/fall. I don’t feel the same impetus since he’s in office now.
