This credit-card sized, single-shot .22 has definitely turned heads because of its discreet size and obvious concealability.
Trailblazer Firearms definitely got people talking with the announcement of the LifeCard .22LR recently. They recently put out this video that gives a somewhat better insight into the guns features.
This is likely one of those love it or hate it ideas for many firearms owners. Some will like the slim design of the LifeCard .22LR.
Others might opt for a more traditional derringer that might hold an extra round. You likely won't find a firearms instructor who would advocate this as your only everyday carry piece, but as a "last chance" backup gun, this might get people interested. See the full video review on this LifeCard .22LR here. what do you all think about this?, another gadget?
About as useful.
But, then, it is a firearm, so if one is looking for a place to spend money without getting an appreciable return, as many of these "gadgets" are, then there it is.
I'm sure all the "bugouts" will be clamoring for one, 'cause, you know, you can kill all kinds of game with a .22, right?
Also may be good for triggering snowflakes, 'cause...it's, GASP!, concealable!
Makes about as much sense as a Bond derringer...spend $600.00 bucks, get a miniature hand cannon that has two shots, weighs 40 pounds and has a 92 pound trigger pull.
Where can a fella get one of these things?
No trigger guard? Doesn’t seem very safe to conceal with a round in the chamber (and you don’t usually get an assailant who will give you a time out to load your gun).
I’ll pass. First, .22LR is a very inadequate caliber. Second, there are a lot of very small guns that fire a .380 with 5 or more rounds, which also have a trigger guard and a safety. I wouldn’t even want to rely on a .380, but at least I’d feel a LOT more comfortable with it than this thing.
Yes, but do you like it or not?
lol
“Saturday Night Special”
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Two feets they come a creepin’
Like a black cat do
And two bodies are lyin’ naked
Creeper think he got nothin’ to lose
So he creeps into this house, yeah
And unlocks the door
And while a man reaching for his trousers
Shoots him full of .38 holes
[Chorus]
Its a Saturday night special
Got a barrel that’s blue and cold
Ain’t no good for nothin’
But put a man six feet in a hole
Big Jim’s been drinkin’ whiskey
And playing poker on a losin’ night
Pretty soon, Big Jim starts a thinkin’
Somebody been cheatin’ and lyin’
So Big Jim commences to fightin’
I wouldn’t tell you no lie
And Big Jim done grab his pistol
Shot his friend right between the eyes
[Chorus]
Hand guns are made for killin’
Ain’t no good for nothin’ else
And if you like your whiskey
You might even shoot yourself
So why don’t we dump ‘em people
To the bottom of the sea
Before some fool come around here
Wanna shoot either you or me
You know it folds up, right? That's your trigger guard.
zip gun technology
Yep, you saved me the keystrokes. What you said.
It is a cap gun.
I could see kids smuggling these into a schoolhouse, and using it for plinking at window class, and sparrows, and the like.
But it is not a serious defensive weapon.
Zip gun with no trigger guard. There are so many better choices. This thing is an accident waiting to happen.
Pfl
Think WWII ‘Liberator’ in a small caliber.
Gun to get a gun to get a rifle......
KYPD
The bond derringer is quite an excellent gun. Accurate and quick to employ when needed. I love mine.
The trigger smooths out at between 400 and 600 cycles. Dry firing, as with all pistols, is one of the keys to mastery.
A simple No.
.22s kill more people than anything. Only a fool says, “It’s just a .22.”
I don’t think anyone sane would laugh if this were pointed at him.
I have several...and they are all nothing more than display toys for my purposes.
I have many, many display "toys".
But I digress.
Look at that picture...the hammer must come back about another 30 degrees or so in order to cock, making it even more difficult to hold onto, the safety is more likely than not to jump back onto safe after the first shot, the front sight is a lump of metal that does nothing more than add weight to an already heavy so-called "pocket pistol"...and if you don't agree with my assessment of the weight, then stick one in your pants pocket and walk around with it for a while.
But, it is extremely well made, locks up like a bank vault and is a very good choice for a glove box/console last gasp go-to, if, IF one has made the wise choice to put the .45 ACP barrel on it, left off the damnable Californicate-required "trigger guard" and forgoes the silly "patriot" grips for the smaller and lighter unadorned plain wooden ones.
Oh, and if the Rhino horn on the front of the barrel is milled off...you won't miss it and you'll be a few ounces lighter.
Just make damned sure you ram it straight into your adversaries eye, torso or groin, for a killing shot, because at more than 3 feet, the point of aim...ain't.
I only wish I had the idea before Gordon Bond ran with it.
He has made it successful and has marketed it brilliantly.
And that's the extent of my praise for it, since Glen Beck has endorsed them and anything Glen Beck is for, I am adamantly against.
Is that a .357mag? Much more my kinda last ditch, shove in there gut as hard as you can and blow them to hell type of a paper weight to have around.
In an emergency? It just takes too long to set up.
“Wait, wait, while I slide this bar, unfold this and cock that “
