That is way out in the sticks. The owner would likely need a reliable car to get to work. I snooped around on zillow for apartment rents in my town. There are single bedrooms for around $500 a month. FTE at minimum wage is $17K a year. The town has a great bus system so going without car expenses, is possible. This person would also pay very little if any for Obamacare and possible get some modest SNAP benefits.
1. It's less out in the sticks than where I live.
2. If you don't care about stylin' and profilin', you can get a poorly running car for $500 or less.
3. The money you save on rent will pay for the car repairs.
4. You can always find a girlfriend or platonic roommate to share expenses.(it does have 3 bedrooms)
