1. It's less out in the sticks than where I live.
2. If you don't care about stylin' and profilin', you can get a poorly running car for $500 or less.
3. The money you save on rent will pay for the car repairs.
4. You can always find a girlfriend or platonic roommate to share expenses.(it does have 3 bedrooms)
Ditto. I have to question the accuracy of the CNBC article as it pertains to flyover country. There is some cheap living in real Amish areas south of us if one can get a full time job..
